Does anyone else have the problem with downloading movies from eve-files with FF? It seems that when I download with FF my download speed drops to around 20/30kb/sec. While downloading with IE7 at the same time, gives me 400KB/sec.
I noticed it eversince the new form of downloading with FF took place. You know click on link and getting re-directed to the eve-files site and then having to right-click on the link and do Save As....
Please let FF have the same download performance as IE7 if it's a problem on your side CCP?
Regards,
Dark Sinister

Edited by: Taram Caldar on 31/12/2006 17:24:51 I use firefox myself but several months ago I started using Free Download Manager exclusively for my downloader. Its a very nice FREE download manager that supports multithread downloading amongst other things. Matter of fact it's one of the downloaders that several game companies recommend for downloading large files.

I had problems that the downloads timed out for some reason, but then i got the same plugin as Das Forscher and I¦m peaking between 2-4 Meg/s.

Pretty much what he said, good program to use. But FireFox also works well. --

I had a problem when the EVE TV adds started going up with looping redirects (each time it redirected me the number of downloads on the file I was trying to get to went up by one but I ended up looking at the same EVE TV banner again). Since then the problem seems to have sorted itself but in the meantime I came across a workaround for troublesome files, simply change the "dl." in the link to "www." - I don't know whether it'll help but it might be worth a try. --
