why is it Europe are getting the s**t end of the stick here we lose alot of play time due to the reboot at 11:00 GMT sometimes its a quick 1 then others lasting for up to 2 hrs which i found the other day when the sector i was in wasnt loaded maybe they can move the time a few hrs earlier or change the time to try suit everyone or give europe player a day compensation to make up for all this lost time ?????? im a noob btw and enjoy the game but hate getting into it to be rebooted grrrrr

DT is fine for Europe, it is the Australians I feel sorry for.

Server GMs are awake and they'll certainly be willing to be done when it is time for lunch.
External support staff is available.
Two very good reasons for the DT at theat time in my book

The cause for this is not yet known, but we do have a possible fix in testing.

The DT is perfect for Europe, DT is right around luchtime!

Why is it mid-day?
Because it would be a bit harsh to ask the people to do server maintenance in the middle of the night, day after day.

Because the Devs are based in Iceland, so its the perfect time when they are all awake/ready to work. Would you prefer the devs to get up at midnight every night and do a **** poor job due to sleep deprivation???

Dt is fine where it is, CCP is a European company so they're at the office's when DT occurs this means they manage the server and save things if they go **** up. Stick it in the middle of the european night and guess what happens DT screws up theres no one around to fix it 30 seconds later the entire eastern seaboard makes eve forums explode

11am is fine for me, I'm in the UK, but as has been stated it's very bad for those in Australasia. If there was ever to be a change I'd hope it would be beneficial to them but this is the problem with 1 server, someone somewhere is going to have a problem with the daily reboot time.
Even in other mmo's where they have many servers localised to regions, people from Europe still *****ed about server maintenance happening at 4am in the morning.

Isn't everyone "losing" playtime regardless of location?
I mean, the game is down for everyone right? Or can non-Europeans still connect during downtime?

EVERYONE loses play time across the world. Not just Europeans.
Infact the people who get it worse is the Aussie because I believe DT is right in the middle of evening to peak play time. so THEY get the rear end not you.

QFT, besides we Europeans can get the complexes and move around straight after DT while peeps are trying to reconnect.
