You would, if you could sell all of them at today's prices. But there's a lot of uncertainty about where the price will end up stabilising at, it's been dropping steadily ever since they were removed from the components for the cov ops cloak.

This has nothing to do with invention. It has everything to do with the fact that the demand for improved cloaks has dropped by 70% when Kali came out and they haven't stabilised at a new equilibrium price yet.

Invention was implemented as a means for the "common" man to go into tech2 building and relieving the starving market (and eventually as a stepping stone to tech3 according to the devs, but lets see), so saying it has nothing to do with the tech2 market is a bit weird IMO. But with the 1+ billion price of Data Interfaces plus whatever additional costs of skillbooks and components and whatnot, the common man won't do Invention, hence I doubt tech2 prices will drop noticeably.

What I was saying is that the reason the improved cloak II has been dropping in price significantly (50%+) recently and will probably continue to go down for a while had nothing to do with invention.
It's still a quite good BPO obviously though.

Well I agree with it being an incredibly good bpo, which is why I am very surprised to see it go for only 21 billion, but other than that, we will just have to agree to disagree
