Yes any ship can fit a prototype or improved cloaking device provided that it has the pg and cpu to fit it.
Only covert ops and force recon cruiser can fit the covert ops cloak though

Do note however, that you can't use your fighters when cloaked.

and if their assigned and you cloak you will lose them.

Personally, I'd fit every carrier I owned with a DG cloak (except in very specific circumstances).
However, if you cloak with fighters deployed (or assigned), you lose control of them.
Bad Move.

Screw a DG... I have an officer cloak on mine. Anythign less cuts your scan res too much.

I want use one carrier as small operation base where i can store my ship and my loot and camp belts with my alt so i want my carrier cloacked at safespot. Maybe it is waste of carrier but i will have it for free

dont you have to be in the carrier for the cloak to work? i think it disables if you eject from it.
