This optional patch has just cost me weeks worth of training, a full set of implants, and the ship I was flying.
What happened? I launched my drones to fight NPC pirates. My system immediately went to under 1fps, basically freezing EVE. After a minute or so of my hard-drive frantically swapping memory, I spontaneously rebooted.
When I logged back in, I was back at my base, minus almost 500k in skillpoints (though my A++ clone should have covered everything I had and another 400k beyond that). I get a message that the pirates destroyed my ship... though the insurance still shows my ship as insured, not destroyed. And somebody that podded me a couple months ago was listed as the culprit for podding me (though he wasn't online, let alone nearby, and nobody else shot at me).
So, a bug with the new patch cost me:- 500,000 skill points
- Intelligence, Memory, Charisma, and Willpower implants
- A fully equipped ship, with about 15 million in rare pirate gear
I'm very patient, and I really like EVE, but the game playability is getting WORSE, not better.
So, my review of the patch? It sucks.

@Thergon: If this really happened, the GMs will reimburse you.
I have used 1253 since it was available and I hadnŠt any problems with it. If you are able to reproduce the problems it would be helpful, if you could send a detailed bugreport.

i havent had the drop in performance.. ive just had the spontaneous reboots and severe lag.
i now get more reboots than ctds..

I got my skillpoints back, but the ship, gear and implants are gone. Since I was in combat, they can't reimburse me for the ship and gear... and since there were missiles, it's possible I was splash-podded so the implants go too.
Still not happy. I've spent a LOT of my training time getting my drones skills up. I don't want to have to abandon drone use for a month or two until this is fixed.

Had a problem with the new patch too loads of lag leaving/docking stations and at gates try looking here there is a link to the 1238 patch mate

1253 works perfect for me. And 4 implants are not a "full set".
