oh still going? i stop because EVE more important and BF2 and that free so i stoped playing it. i was in a outfit called Dark Skyes but i am in Dark Skyes in eve tho :P its in my blood

I used to, but Planetside died when they introduced BFR's
Played abit after i started EVE, but it wasn't the same as before BFR's
Retired.

BFR's killed the game :( As well as the turning of the continents into "planets" which was crap. Bring back Oshur.
I LOVED PS before that happend.

I used to play, then the BFR's came and the game got ***. It was fun back when armies of 100+ would rush against a base held by 100+, and heavy tanks were something to be feared. Then came the overpowered Maelstroms with their hallway pwnage and the BFR's with their near invincible flying door camping.
And I still hate SOE for killing Tanarus, the best damn tank warfare game ever.

Agreed BFRs definately ruined Pside. Even though in the end they were fixed Pside lost the whole mentallity to it. BFRs may be fixed but the game has lost it's soul. "For the empire" is dead. People actually get angry if you blow a generator "cause it ruins the fight" :-/.

Loved it so much, then the BFRs came along (Battle Frame Robots) and they weren't remotely balanced. By the time they balanced them, it was too late.
Went back under the free "Recruits" thingie a few months ago but couldn't be arsed with it any more.

I use to play PS. I hear when BFR came in ir ruin it a little because it was so not balancedand u can kill it. I think tho it was balanced when i join as u can kill them and there more support. Only problem is the the Advanced BFR got nerfed too much when it jumps the sheild drops which with a very weak armour mean it was useless.
I find when i join PS BFR was balanced at last and when i left it wasnt because too many people was complaining it was hard to kill but i thought it easy. So i think PS play got lazy and want it easy to get points. tho its easy to kill them if u know how. Easy kills tho 4tl

Still play it myself on the Werner server, although i have a lot of issues on the balance of the weapons/vehicles, and dont get me started on all the cheaters that are abundant still, but i still enjoy it with my mates.

Wow Planetside was the first mmo i ever played and i loved it.....than they implemented all that BFR rubbish....and it absolutely died.
Not only are they stupidly over-powerd but every base evolved into bfr's camping the base entrances and the defenders just waiting until the power ran out. When before it was tanks guarding the doors which were pretty easy to take out.

BFR's were gimped awhile back, and considering the amount of people that carry an Anti Vehicle weapon as secondary, you dont last long unless your smart with your movement (although most av is point and shoot system).

Agreed. I was an awesome BFR pilot when i was one. I was killing loads as i know how to handle the BFR. Good thing is too i know how to take these guys out too.
Before i left PS they nerfed the Advance BFR when it jumps the sheild drops. That annoyed me and i couldnt even fight in them. so whats the point in jumping? there already easy to take out unless ur a good pilot like me :P Soon the sheild goes thats it pop! :/

I started playing a bit after release, damn that was like three years ago. I played off and on and left for eve. I quit before the BFRs came out, and then I tried playing a bit when they were out and decided that SOE totally screwed the game over. The combat was really fun and unique though. That I liked but it got monotonous after a while.
