Doesn't matter anyway, the dev's have said countless times that the jove ships haven't undergone the balancing that other ships have over time and they'd have to go through it before they ever got released publicly.
Which imo would probably make them more nerfed than ammar

I heard that the jove frigate has 8 highs or something. Never found out if it was true though. --------

IMO Jove events should have ships that give certain amounts of non-mineable minerals when you salvage it!.
A Jove ship would then be possible to build, but only with a high amount of said mineral, the ship should be uber, but EXTREMELY expensive and rare.

A lot of people get mixed up here. There is a ship called the Enigma, widely believed to be Jove. It has 7-8-7 layout (7 launchers) and titan level fittings. It ISN'T a Jove frigate. It's a dev plaything.
The actual Jove frigate is called the Wraith, and the stats are as follows:
4-5-2 (2 turrets, 1 launcher) 15m3 drones 55 PG, 250 CPU 325m/s 30 sig 750 scan res 1mil kg
No bonuses
Pretty medicore tbh.
edit: for your information, the cruiser is very, VERY far from mediocre (although the damage isn't up to much, it makes up for it with 14 slots, huge fitting and superstabber speed. The battleship has 8-8-8 layout and the fittings to basically fit what you want to that (capital mods excluded). That's all you need to know.

The devs have stated in the past they they were going to have 5 tech levels. My guess is that Tech 5 would be Jovian ships. i dont think T5 is feasable. i mean, you need 7 skills at lvl5 for command ships, the biggest T2 ships so far. imagine T5. 50 lvl5's? 2 years worth of training? dont think thats feasable even for 'specialization over time'

Actually the number of lv 5 skills would not be linear, it would however require lev 5 in multiple T1, T2, T3, and T4 skills, probably 2-3 in each in effect giving you 8-12 skills at lev 5 required... your time estemate however is in all probability correct if not on the low side, my guess would be that you would have to do committed training for 2-3 years to fly a T5 ship... and thats just the friggs :)

The Jovian ships were designed when EVE was released and have not been touched since. In the time that has passed, we've seen tech 2 added to the game, plus improved battleships, battlecruisers and a load of modules. Jovian ships would not hold the combat advantage they did 3.5 years ago.
As for seeding Jovian BPo's, I would guess this will be a part of a Jovian expansion and not before. Just like many others, I'd love to see a Wraith or Eidolon in my main's hangar.

The Jove last made contact with the Empires when the Caldari, Gallente, Amarr and Minmatar were all at war. Now with Revelations and faction warfare that type of environment is returning. It would make sense for the Jove to once again start interferring with Empire affairs when war starts again.

I take it Caldari Frigate is no longer the pre-requisite skill for training Jove ships?

You obviously missed the fact there exists a joint caldari & jove research station in jove space, and caldari has an ongoing diplomatic relationship with the jove, not to mention the Jove founded society of conscious thought, which teach its students mental techniques developed by the jove. That and the high probability that the jove has spies in every government in eve.

Do the right thing and scrap the Jove-playable-race idea please.
I know you guys mention some ultimate mutated teleporting race in some PF, but really, that's kinda goofy, and the Jove fit so much better as an enigmatic race who onyl deal with the empires when it suits their needs.
Or make all jove chars delete themselves after 2 years due to their disease, or if they use any leetspeak, ever.

they dont have to do this to **** people off.. just keep the work up as they have done untill now and keep all the EW as one-sized modules..
