Bear in mind this is meant to be a tanking set-up, for small gangs and 1v1's
Highs: 2X 425 Prototype A/C, 2 X Medium 'Knave' Nosferatu, 4X Arby Siege Launcher
Med's: 1X Quad MWD, 1X Ecto Cap Booster, 1X Named Web, 1 X named warp disrupter
Lows: 1X Large Armor Rep II, 1X Large 'Accomidation' Rep, 1X Explosive, Thermal and Kinetic Harders II's. 1X EANM II, 1X 1600 Plate
Rigs: 3X Cap Recharge
What do you guys think?
Thanks, ficti0n

Edited by: Twin blade on 01/01/2007 14:02:25 Don't use cap recharge rig's you want the max cap rig's 40% boost to max cap helps more than the -40% recharge time.
Try rig 2 max cap rig's and a missile/drone damage rig if you can fit it added damage never hurt.
Over all looks ok. !

So Total Cap Rigs > Cap recharge Rigs?
Even for PVP?

He meant SPECIFICALLY for PVP. Cap recharge is damn near useless, because the fight rarely lasts long, unlike a lvl 4 mission where the recharge helps more than quick bursts of cap or having more cap.
Wondering about all the cruiser stuff on top myself, any way to fit heavy knaves? The range is really useful.

If you have 3 cap rigs. Put 4 heavy neut. Incredble and surprising how you can shut down ships insanely fast with it. Sut it down than use then in groups of 2 to neut him as soon as he cap inject ( when you see him activating modules or firing again) If brute force doesn't solve your problem.. then you are not using enough!! |

Edited by: Sebroth on 02/01/2007 14:48:21 The reason for not using cap recharge rigs but the rigs that gives more cap: 1) The rigs that give you more cap not only gives you more cap but also better recharge rate. You get more cap but the recharge time stays the same aka you get a bonus to your cap recharge. (the same way shield extenders workes) 2) More cap gives you a nice buffer and buffer are always good in PvP, perma-solutions are for PvE not PvP
When it comes to modules people use cap rechargers instead of cap batteries because of the high pg need for cap batteries, you donĘt find that different in rigs so cap recharge rigs are useless tbh

Edited by: Jet Collins on 02/01/2007 14:55:58 I would think A power grig rig would almost eb more usfull since the Phoon is relativly low on PG. With the PG rig I would think you might be able to fit that second t2 Armor repair and or better weapons/mods.
Plus none of the weapons realy on Cap only your tank. So with the phoon you want to out nos your enemy, and out run them. Personaly I would go with PG rigs and speed rigs. But I don't do much pvp so what do I know
Dynamic Endeavors is now Recuiting.!!
Contact me in game for deatails about the corp. Mostly a PvE corp, with Jump clones avaiale in Empire and 0.0. |

Agreed ... nanophoon is nice, but you need to be in the right circumstances to use it:
Tbh the Phoon's quite flexible, haven't actually tried this setup but looked reasonably good on paper with decent Drone, Missile, AC skills (duh) and not had practical experience against a domi but the passive idea could give a domi a run for its money if you put out enough damage:
2x650mmII AC 2x800mmII AC 4xBest Named Siege Launchers
1xMWD 1xWeb 1xScrammer 1xTarget Painter
1x T2 Gyro 1x T2 BCU 2x 1600 plates 2x EANMII 1x Damage Control
5x Wasp II -----------------------

That's not nice :( My 'Phoon is pimp'd and it's awesome! You need a Rapier or Huginn to kill it :)
EDIT: My top speed is 4450m/s now. ---

I approve of this setup. Everyone sees the phoon now days and thinks nano. The tank phoon comes a quite a suprise and it IS a tough little cookie.

Coming from a wanabe pirate that won't fight unless you outnumber ppl and who use lame tactics like pretending to mine, smacktalk loads in local, and who hunt noobs around eifer and gusendell etc is a bit hypocritical in my books.
Did you get killed by someone in a phoon recently?
Grow some, adapt and get over it allready.

I'd probably drop the plate, add a BCU, and upgrade some of the guns/nos. Other upgrade possibilities are the T1 rep -> T2, or the T1 MWD -> T2.
Also, I think the rigs are too pricey right now to fit on a 'phoon.

Answer me this my dear fellow, which is more cowardly?
Flying a nanophoon and fighting 5-6 people a gate on your own, or being in a gang of 5-6 people trying to catch a nanophoon then whining about the fact you cant.
It's great being Amarr that flys Minmintar aint it?

I don't fly the phoon and don't know much about rigs, but you seem to be overdoing it with cap. You have 2 nosses, so you'll probably won't be outnossed (at least not heavilly) and a cap injector. Specially for small gang engagements there's little chance that you'll run out of booster before the fight ends as you'll be using them only to run the 2 LARs.
On the other hand your damage doesn't seem to be exceptional. So, I think you should put some dmg rigs and maybe (after doing the calcs) a rep amount/cap used rig. Also, as someone else said, test dmg controls (dunno matar structure HP though)...

QFT!
We gave whooping to AXE gatecamp in Kisogo that way Nanodomi + Nanophoon + 3 Tacklers (Wolf, Rifter, Taranis) and they had Eos, Megathron , Deimos, Myrmidon, Harpy <.<
They ran tail between their legs but we still got the Eos, Mega and harpy.
EDIT: Just incase someone comes whining, we lost Rifter and the Wolf ---
