More recently, Aurora has started supporting/sponsoring players and organisations with either their in game events and even OOG events. In an attempt to clear up the questions IÆve been getting about this û here you go.
We do this as a community effort and to help these people succeed in what they are trying to achieve within the community (think community spirit).
We do not help everyone with their efforts û people have to be serious, established and well founded before we will consider helping them. Unfortunately, this is required to prevent people attempting to abuse the system. There is also no guarantee of help and its done on a best available basis, you will also only receive assistance sporadically to prevent claims of unfairness.

SIRadio û http://www.siradio.fm
If people wish us to consider helping them then please realise we have certain criteria;
o) What you are wishing support for must be ingame and obviously, EVE related
o) Full credit to CCP/ISD must be given as the source of ISK/Items/Support
o) Any staff cannot win any prizes
o) Full list of people who are given items provided must be emailed to myself for audit tracking.

Sorry guys, I do not get that...
On the one hand, you announce increased supporting of ingame player organized events, and on the other hand, you retract the promised support for one of the biggest and most respected player organized events we have, the Big Lottery?
I think I'm not smart enough to understand this...

Come on CCP no reply or statement as to why you felt the need to withdraw support from the BIG lottery. We would really like to know why you felt the need to do this as it makes no real sense.

At the Fan Fest we had a discussion with TournSoul about sponsoring the 100th BIG lottery (I think it was the 100th). This didn't get further than a discussion and we are sorry if it was taken as a promise to sponsor that event.

So, uhm, the eve lottery is still on?? I am just starting with this game... first post actually :D I dare say the forum can be as addicting as EVE online itself :P Gonna get me my first time card this week.... so is there a lottery operating at the moment?
