Edited by: Velastria on 01/01/2007 21:55:03 I was playing earlier, and this really cool techno-rock-ish music started playing. Does anyone have any idea what that one is called? I've been searching around the jukebox for awhile trying to find it but so far I haven't yet.

I assume you went through a deadspace gate when the music started playing. That music isn't actually in the jukebox, but can be extracted from somewhere. There was a torrent that had a lot of the music from EVE including those tracks, but I don't know what happened to it. I don't think its active any more.

You need exStuff Explorer to extract the songs from the resMusic.stuff file in your EVE install.
The song you want is prolly one of the EVE_Rock_XX.ogg ones

My guess is he means the Minmatar tracks. They have guitars = techno rock-ish
Gods almost all of those tracks are awesome. Gallente 002 is the only one i dislike for now. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Thanks for that link!
This stuff is awsome! I feel a bit cheated that I've never heard it in game before. Of course... having sound on would have probably helped that.

If someone could find the music that plays with the launcher (the login screen), I would appreciate it. It doesn't appear to be in any of the .stuff files that I can see.
My favourite non-combat track is Below the Asteroids and my favourite combat track would have to be.. Gallente002!

Ok, pardon my enthusiasm, but damn I like this stuff! A few questions/observations:
Why are there so many Galente tunes? Why are the Caldari & Mini stuff >>>> everything else? Why are the Amarr songs so few and soooooo gloomy? (No wonder those Amarr types are so ****y. )
And finally, where do you have to go in game with what settings to hear this stuff?

I'm not 100% sure, but I was wondering about this myself way back, and looked around for it a while.
The natural place to find music related to EVE, I though, was on the official site, right here on eve-o.
Just go to the link you see on the left called 'EVE Music' I found lots of great music there. Think all the normal ones in the jukebox is there, but others also, some from deadspace areas I bet.
The ones I got for myself was:
CCP: Jon Hallur - Retribution CCP: Jon Hallur - Last power Cell CCP: Jon Hallur - Hidden Mementos CCP: Jon Hallur - Surplus of Rare Artifacts CCP: Jon Hallur - Theme of The Universe CCP: Jon Hallur - Smoke from Down Below CCP: Jon Hallur - Oppinions Of the Misinformed CCP: Jon Hallur - The Dealer
Some of the titles are actually names for chapters in the two EVE novels (Not short stories) that you can also find right here on this site. (I got this surreal 'EVE' feeling reading those novels while listening to music related to the chapters.)
If I remember correctly it was way more, I didn't download much.
But it should be there if you want it. Wish I have a better sig than this |
