Some times I would like to just auto destruct my ship when I am caught moving stuff I shouldn't be where I shouldn't be. I don't really know how this would show up on kill mail but I would like to destroy everything VS having some of my stuff get looted.

How about a "scorched earth" low slot module that reduce your tank and prevent drops? A tank penalty akin to expanders because you pack the cargo hold with active explosive that will detonate on a hull breach? |

I still want a jihad jeep option of rigging your ship with enough C4 to take out everything in radius. Carebears think code & miniluv are bad news now, imagine the tears proper suicide bombers would generate. |

No, they don't need any more tank, your 'tank' is a 0 SP scout alt in a pod, its not too hard. Believe me, moving a Tayra through Syndicate pipes is a B*tch.

CCP serving up victims on a silver plate with apples in their mouths. The majority of the haulers can fit a good tank. Even the 4 that can be classified as paper bags can be fit to be 99% immune to gankers. They are very well balanced right now assuming you are not greedy and/or ignorant. If you are either, you should be punished.

Jenshae Chiroptera wrote:It is like mining - dock or die. No, not really. There is no point in hauling where you are as vulnerable as mining in an asteroid belt. You really have to be incompetent to be this vulnerable in a hauler.

My transport ship has ridiculous tank and enough slots for immense versatility in fitting. Sure it's not a T1 industrial, but T1 is basic bare-bones ships for a reason. If you want a great ship, go transport. Just by skilling it up, a transport ship has great tank. Then you put modules on, and train up thermodynamics to take advantage of the role bonus to overheating, and you have a crown jewel of a cargo ship. And you have fitting room for MWD, cloak, and whatever else your imagination brings you.
Let's discuss overhauling the way we get intel in EvE.

As Lloyd already alluded to, half the "tank" has nothing to do with fitting your ship, it's the lump of grey matter between our ears, specifically how you use said lump. One loss stands out vividly in my mind (among other items); 6 odd PLEX, a vigilant and a loki all thrown into a fully expanded mammoth (rigs 'n all) with 1 adaptive field serving as the "tank". You just can't account for stupid. |
