What salvage level do you need to be to salvage BS's?
I am level 1 and I couldn't salvage a 545K dollar rat I killed.
It said it was to hard for me to salvage.

I'd say Salvaging 3, but some people have reported success with Salvaging 2.
I know you need Salvaging 3 for T2 player ships, but I can't check what level you need for NPC BS as I've already got Salvaging to 4.

L3 worked on everything i encountered yet.
Including most player ships, faction and officer spawns.

Well i have lvl 2 and succesfully salvaged an entire lvl 4 mission which had everything from BS's to friggs

From my experience.
Level 1 will salvage all normal ships up to the Battlecruiser class.
Level 2 will let you salvage all normal ships, and Named ships up to around BC.
Level 3 will let you salvage all T1 ships and Named ships.
I am not sure were T2 comes into play. I have salvaged some elite NPC frigates with level 3. But I suspect L3 if not L4 would be required to salvage say a command ship.

That's odd, because I've salvaged entire lvl 4 missions for my friends, and I only have salvaging lvl 1, not to mention all the lvl 3's I've salvaged.

It is possible that level 1 will let you salvage all "normal" ships. I havent tried it. :) I know level 1 will not let you salvage the named ships.

If you have any level of salvage, you'll be able to do any wreck. I've done it for a good amount of time.

no.
I had 2 salvagers running.
I was salvage lvl 1 and it would not let me salvage the wreck in my original post.
I got the message "this wreck is too hard for you to salvage"
It was a named BIG rat. 545 thousand dollar bounty.
Never seen one like it ever.

I know from personal experience that named rats like Pourpas Aunten(Cruiser) need LVL 3 salavaging.
