Hey pooti, nice kill last night. I was lagged all to hell and could not turn on any mods, but nice kill nonetheless. A question came to my mind though. If you are in the Curse Alliance, and CA is supposed to be at war with the "real" pirates. Then why would you be working together with Negotiator from COW up in fd-mlj?

I was in FD-MLJ most of the night with an scout alt. The reason was pooti's claim that CoW allied with Evolution.
Tell you what, it was really boring but if a 'Carbide Industries' that have posted spam in channels where it don't belong got podded, it's good news.

lol yeah they are says so on the corp description...and I went to help cuz I saw another guy from Carbide undock in a scorp. Too bad pooti didnt have his scramber set on autorepeat  woulda been two kills...

Killing my ship wasn't what I was questioning.
But CA has claimed they are at WAR with cow and many other known pirate corps. Yet last night COW and CA were working together as a pair.
That is what I am confused about.

excuse u, c0w do not consider ourselves pirates. we act on our will and we dont do this for profit. i helped pooti yesterday because he was fighting my enemy.we are not pirates - we dont kill people for money...

The title is misleading on this post, so sorry for that. My question isn't whether or not CA or COW, or whoever is pirates or not.
The question I have is: If Curse Alliance claims they are at war with COW, then why would they be in a gang working together? |

You were docking and locked me on the way in. I wouldn't have thought anything of it, but you immediately undocked as soon as you docked so I figured you meant to attack me but were thwarted by a lingering dock command.
So, I killed you.
Sorry that you were lagged. It did seem a little overly lopsided.

I just thought that CA was in full out war with COW as well as others; but have recently found out I was incorrect in that assesment.
Will probably see you next week again up in fd-mlj. Will give my new set up another go then

Ah, but who wants it to happen? Wouldn't wish lag & bugs on my worst enemy, much less someone who I don't know. But cheers for taking it so well.
Anway, re: c0w/ca, as far as I know both are probably still on each others kos list (but everyone's on c0w's list). Yes, I've flown with them a bit over the last few days (as has one of my corpmates) but it's completely independent of CA and Red Corsairs.

Only thing that is a downer is that I didn't get to learn at all from the fight. So I lost the ship, but really don't know whether or not that set-up is practical. Lol, after looking at the game log some more I found that I hit the station more then I hit you. |

That has happened to me 6 weeks ago.
I was on my way to HED-GP and Magusa, of Arcane Technologies UK, locked me up near the gate at Lansez (or Keberz) with his Tempest. I hadn't even worried about him in local because, at that time, ATUK were "just another corporation" and I didn't realise at the time they were CA.
I jumped into HED to wait for him to appear because I was highly curious as to why he would lock me. He politely jumped in and let me lock him at the JIP so I scrambled and target-jammed him while a couple of friends gang-warped to me and destroyed his beloved Tempest.
A lesson to be learned: Don't target anyone you don't intend to shoot.
