I'm not talking about bugs but various things which can exacerbate inner ear balance disorders:
1. "Space jitter" - the rolling back and forth of the background from the point of view from the ship.
2. "Warp Jolt" - Entry into and out of warp violently shakes the image on the screen.
3. "Bad Roids" - Giant spinning asteroids like veldspar that hasn't been touched in years.
The combination of #3 and #1 can make mining nauseating. It gives a whole new meaning to the phrase "nauseatingly boring."
The only thing that can be done to keep from feeling like I'm about to fall over is to zoom way out when mining and look away when my ship warps.
Why can't there be options to turn off these effects? I've turned my graphical options down as far as they can go and they still are present. I'm sure a lot of players would be appreciate these as well of those with balance disorders that predispose them to vertigo and dizziness.

Don't mine.
I know you expected this glib reply; but really, please don't mine.
Every so often (once a month or so) can be therapeutic, but shooting npcs is better than mining.

I usually run missions but I lost a raven and had to mine to get another one. But it's good to get posts like yours out of the way early!

If nobody mined, your new battleship might turn out to be quite expensive. Say, 280 million for a Raven?

you know, i've noticed an odd thing recently, when entering warp I HAVE to click on the thing I am warping to before the "warp shake" finishes otherwise it just feels wrong.. (Feels wrong in the same way that I have to close both eyes an equal amount of times, or can't leave the volume on an odd number) but whilst i'm attempting to click on a small icon that is wobbling around the screen I get an intense headache, it dissapears as soon as I click the icon or the "warp shake" stops. been going on for a few weeks now, is it just my brain being a dumbass?

I myself would also like more options. Of course I don't have problems with motion sickness or anything else like that. I want options to turn off various effects and decrease lag. Options such as disabling textures (instead filling in the shapes with a solid color), disabling the background, disabling "screen shaking", disabling the warp tunnel effects, etc etc...

I happen to love all of those features. Options to turn them off would be fine, but removing them would be very bad indeed. -- Lil Miner Newbie Skills Roadmap | How to Build from a BPO |

The only thing I want them to remove is the asinine way your BS rocks back and forth when getting hit by missiles...
You can keep the alignment equations going transparent, but that silly rocking is an immense immersion breaker IMO...

They should make a text-based version of eve
/mine: starts mining /jettison: jetson can /move cargo can 1: move your ore to your can
i think that's enough to keep OP paying subscription for the next year.

Try carriers, dreads, motherships and even the ASCN Titan. I'd understand if it were cruisers and below, but nothing as massive as a BS and up...

the animated map is also nauseating. I'm being genuine, I have to look away from my monitor or minimise my even client/alt-tab whilst it does it.
