A Gallante Megathron (IXDS Spear Of Athena) patrols the area.
"Commander the Fleet has taken position in the known Terrorist system"
Commodore Jusitica Universi views tactical as the hostiles dissappear from sensors.
"Open all channels" "This is the Cyrene Initiative addressing the terrorist organiziation (COBRA)...ahem Intaki Union. The Cyrene Initiative offers you a chance for redemption....again." "We understand and sympathize for the Intaki's plight for stability in Placid. Our Organziation has worked deligently to provide such security to the Region for a few months now. Members and Allies to IU, note that you are being mislead by Phantomas and his circle. Your passion to see your home prosper is being twisted by this body or council. Your plotted course will only end in failure. The IU leaders are using you. Do not be manipulated and be sacrificed as pawns for their megalomania. Stand down and leave this terrorist organzation. Attacking the Cyrene Initiative can only end in your demise."
with a wry and a smile she continues...
"Since the beggining of IU's War Declaration, why has there been no words of propaganda by it's leaders? Why has there been no "spin" on their glorious quests for glory or battles won?" "Why has there only been silence?"
"You know why...this War was a mistake!" "Your leaders are sacrificing you to be fed to the Cyrene Lion and like a lizard whom leaves its tail, the leaders abandon you while they seek safety."
"End this now, leave the Intaki Union! Seek the true path and defend your Placid from the lawlessness which plaques your home. Who knows, in the future we can even work as brothers in arms."
"Think about it Intaki Union Members and their sympathizers..this war cannot be won and the leaders you follow will only burn you in the pyres of their madness."

One woman's terrorist is another's freedom fighter, as the old saying goes.
I personally wish the Intaki Union luck on their campaign to free their people from the oppressive grasp of the Gallente Federaton's misguided and uninformed electorate, and would hope they shed any dreams of nationalism in the process of doing so. To not would be to repeat the mistakes of the Caldari and the Gallente states that preceeded you, and would be tragic.

The IU has no intention of freeing my people. Only to sell them out as slaves to the Amarr. This has been proven by their own words. ---

I just find it ironic that Intaki seperatist arguments assume broad support. A few capsuleers don't speak for a people; certainly, my Intaki cousins are proud members of the Federation, so much so that a few have joined the apparatus of its government. We give the seperatists too much credit when we perceive their calls for 'self' determination as referring to anything more than the individual seperatists themselves.
In any case, it is a pity that a few rogue pod pilots think to thrust their will on a peaceful, patriotic majority.
Good hunting, Cyrene.

...We learned that the best way to survive was to work with the environment, not to fight it...
**It stops**
The Cyrene Initiative only fights to keep the Placid Region clear of unsavory murderors and ransomers. NOW we are fighting a group that "claims" to be working in the best interests of the Intaki while being led by an Amarrian and calling on the help of 2 Caldari anti-Federation corporations.
If the Intaki people want to secede, let them do it peacefully.

Do not play the Idama quote game, you will lose. You haven't the interaction Intaki Union has had with the man.
I request that all pilots, Intaki union, Patriot Society and Cyrene not degrade this into a thread like the current Electus Matari ones. Lets all show some class and not smack each other. I know Intaki union is better than that, I hope that Cyrene will rise above as well.

I beg you to review your own quote. Idama simply stated that growth and chance is aggression. He did not specify what to. He is an eccentric genius. I dont want to sound mean but there is simply no chance for anyone to understand what is being aggressed by those actions.
But alas, we will not play the quote game.
I hereby solidify CYI's call for your surrender... as much as you dont like it.

Mr. Bliss, a logical comment from your for once. I have to concur that of late these commentaries of the Intergalactic Summit have been wrought with one-line jabs not intended to illuminate or otherwise add to any discussions.
I will be watching this conflict with interest, both to see whom can maintain this air of restraint you request (and by no means do i assume you your self will comply) and to see the outcome of this conflict.
Mr. Thuul'Khalat, it is no comedy to ask people to rise above their base needs. I would remind you of Aegis Celestis for one, I trust I need not go on.
I applaud this and do hope that by the Grace of God we have one notable conflict free of the degradation that occurred so recently in the Caldari wars.

The allies are Caldari paramilitaries for those who do not know. Again they attack us in our home space.
From Molden Heath to Placed they are fighting us on all fronts.
Yet they accuse the Federation of being meddlesome... ---

Vendrin is correct. Our quarrel with you is strictly due to your ill-advised meddling in the Amarr/Minmatar conflict. Your behavior threatens to escalate the conflict and embroil the entire cluster in war.
But this is a discussion for another time. For now, suffice it to say that CAIN's actions have nothing to do with the Intaki issue, and we are not coordinating with Intaki Union on this matter. We do not presume to involve ourselves militarily in the internal matters of other sovereign nations, and we hope you will come to appreciate the wisdom of this position in due course.

Did pie not come into the mito conflict through a request by one of the involved parties? because if they did, then you have put your foot in your mouth.

First, although I was not privy to all the diplomatic dealings, I don't believe there was ever a request made to PIE for aid in the Mito conflict. Their presence in Mito was their own idea, though they did, of course, consult us before entering the area, and we were certainly happy to fly with them.
And second, I believe you still misunderstand the point we are trying to make. The Mito conflict did not directly involve the interests of sovereign entities. Political implications were minimal; it was simply a war of aggression, of the type which CONCORD "overlooks" dozens of times every day, and the risk of escalation was nonexistent.
The current conflict, however, threatens to spiral out of control. This is a matter which should be resolved by agents of the Empire and the Republic. By becoming involved, you encourage other Federation-aligned corporations to follow suit, which, in turn, will inevitably drag State-loyal corporations into the fight. What should be an internal dispute between two nations has become all-out war throughout the cluster. That outcome, with its attendant loss of life and economic damage, is what we seek to prevent.
Regardless, I'd appreciate it if we could continue this conversation in a different thread. It's rude to derail the current topic like this.

i understand your concerns of escalation, and loss of life. but our diplomats have not recieved anything from your offices other than a formal declaration of war. aside from the vexation of a war declaration to prevent war escalation, it would appear that we are not apposed to diplomatic discussions and multi-party talks to reduce escalation of hostilities.
however, it would appear that to militarily force us out of the conflict to achieve reduction of escalation, you would need to relocate to minmatar or amarran space and resume hostile actions against us.
i have faith that this is not an opporunistic attack to involve yourselves in this conflict, or that it is even backed by our enemies. however, you must comprehend, that it is extremely difficult to prevent war, with war.
feel free to have the proper diplomats get in contact with myself, Thuul'Khalat, or monty tomasi. otherwise, you can find us on foreign soil.

All that war does is embroil the innocent into a war zone that is unsafe for commerce.
Without commerce there can be NO growth.
Without growth populations subside into apathy and anarchy.
This leads to stagnation and civil war, and eventual self destruction.
PLEASE do not plunge this section of space into a self destructive downward spiral.
I call upon all involved parties to CALL OFF THIS MADNESS!
Give me the money that has been spent in war and I will clothe every man, woman, and child in an attire of which kings and queens will be proud. I will build a schoolhouse in every valley of every planet and I will crown every hillside with a place of worship consecrated to peace. ~Charles Sumner

I'm not sure what happened actually, we were having a good fight and i much enjoyed their vigor. Lets not assume the worst and instead focus on that this war has been mainly smack free from both sides and quite an important war for the politics of the pod pilots in the region. Placid, Verge Vendor and now our very own home stomping grounds of Syndicate are beginning to run yellow and green with pod fluid.
