I have a domi with 375m¦ for ratting. As drones are a big part I wonder what would be best to use dmg per second wise. I can either use heavy attack drones are sentry drones to kill the npc battleships. I kill frigs and cruisers with t2 medium drones.
I am talking about t1 hvy are sentry drones.

i think it is really what you prefer, i persoanlly use heavy attack drones.

Depends on the rats you are fighting.
If you fight guristas, their battleships tend to hold between 30 and 50km, and shoot with torps and cruise missiles. I find that a Domi with 3x 425mm rails (antimatter) and 5 sentry drones works great... fit a T2 Med Repper, T2 racial specific active hardners, a large repper for backup, and lots of cap boosting gear. Stay at the warp in point and start raking in the ISK.
For Serpentis rats, they seem to want to close to very close ranges and use blasters. My tank won't let me go toe-to-toe with 2-3 Blaster Megathrons (even the NPC ones), so I would generally say keep 20km between you and use the Heavy or T2 Med drones. Just remember to pull the drones back if they start taking fire... T2 drones are expensive.
A decent technique for tanking spawns with Sentry drones is to let the drones get the first shot and draw aggro. Scoop them just as their sheild gets to 25%, then relaunch them and keep shooting. This will spare you from having to tank 3 large battleships at once.
