Ok, I haven't flown this fit yet, but I'd like some feedback anyways...
Highs: 7 X-3200 Heavies 1 Med E50 Nos Meds: 1 Y-TB MWD 1 Named 20km Scram 1 Named Med Cap Booster 1 T2 Med Shield Booster 1 Annointed EM Hardener 1 V-M15 Hardener Lows: 3 PDS II 1 BCU II
ORRRR...
Switch the 7 Heavies for 7 X-2800 Heavy Assaults and the Med Nos for a gang warfare mod...
Wish I had the SP to mount t2 hardeners! Anyways...thoughts? Suggestions?

Whats regen on the active vs a passive (assume 2 LSE II's, 2x SPR, and a PDS)? I figured a drake was a better passive tank in pvp that can become nos immune.

I have tried several different active shield setups on my Drake and never could get near the same results as a passive setup. Drake is a "Big" ferox and meant to be passive shield tanked. With a few rigs you can get sweet shield regen.

And what exactly is wrong about passive Setups in PvP that are totally immune to Nosing and still deal out quite much damage?

Well you usually need pretty much all your mids to have any kind of respectable passive tank and so you can't use scramblers etc. Doesn't matter in gangs though I suppose as you'd presumably have others tackling. I never pvp without points though, just feels unsure.
edit In fact I almost never pvp at all

Highs: 7 Heavy Assault / Heavy Extra = Anything you would be able to fit
Mids: 2 T2 Large Extenders 2 EM Hardeners 1 Thermal Hardener 1 Invulnerability Field
Lows: 1 Shield Power Relay 1 Damage Controls 1 Ballistic Control Unit Extra = Anything you can fit.
Might have CPU troubles I dunno, this is off the top of my head :) Someone else can comment on this, I've haven't pvp'ed with caldari yet. This would be for gang pvp as you'd depend on others tackling.

You cannot solo anything with a passive tank. As you can't tackle you will not get a kill. So the immunity to nos ain't worth anything. In gangs/small fleets (non-piracy as you might want to call it) noone's gonna nos you anyways. So there is no advantage too.
You'll lose to any battleship. Even 2 cruisers will fry you if they aren't noobs. In fleet vs fleet when there are battleships on both sides you wont do enough damage. When there are only battleships on the opponents side you'll be primary. The tank wont do good there. Well, at least it has no significant advantage to an active one. It just wastes the slots needed to damp, tackle, disrupt or whatever.

I see no reason that a passive shield tank wouldn't work in PVP.
the drake has 6 mid slots and can fit 7 heavy missle launchers and 3 large shield extender IIs fairly easily.
that leaves 3 mid slots. currently I run 2 invulnerability fields and a target painter. But there's nothing to difficult about dropping an invulnerability field for a 20km scram, although you probably can't run it all that long.
But hey with 15-18k shields and a regen of 600 seconds or less it's not all that bad (hehe if u rig it out its even sweeter).
