have you looked in events today.. there a hunt on for 50 mil, starts at 7.pm eve time,, should be fun.

Um... read-between-the-lines... I'd be willing to bet there is NO 50 mil isk gonna be awarded to anyone cuz who but a pirate would think of such a thing in EVE... I mean really ! This all seems to be just too good to be true.
Anyway, the post I read mentioned something about there was no guarantee those involved would not be taking some risks... If it were me and I was a pirate (which I am not, atm) I would probably be doing this... I'd have a lot of people running around finding clues with me sitting at the final destination camping a JIP with some of my Scorpion/Raven pirate buddies and probably get more kills this way than any other way... you gotta admit, being able to legally kill a steady stream of players would be a pretty enticing thing for a player-pirate to do... Doh !
On the other hand... buy ship insurance and fly into any camped 0.0 system and bingo even YOU will get some money for it... might not be 50 mil isk but it be something ! - lol

OMG hi! i'm a pirate, and i suck to much to actually catch ppl. So i had this cool idea!
I'm offering 1 bagillion megacyte + 1 tritanium in a treasure hunt! People dont' realize it though, they are to daft, i will trix them and be ebil and get them!
I will say i am giving back to the community or something, and then i won't have to add a bounty onto myself to make noobs in nub ships shake in ph33r.

Said pirate already rewarded someone with 25mio isk for writing a nice story.

If you were aware of the history of annoing and his previous roleplaying, none of which has been pirate related you may not have been so quick to call him a liar.
Some people play the game to have fun, when that ends, some are quite pleasant and hand out their stuff to their m8s, some organise events for many to have fun partaking in. You however read between the lines. Well done. Keep mining in that sweet little corp, but don't critise others prior to an event, when they have no history of such behaviour and have always been roleplayers previously.

1) I organised this Event as a 'I'm Leaving Eve' final farewell.
2) 45 players took part. 10 dropped out after the first clue (see my 'winner' post) and the rest seemed to have a really good time from the chat in the Treasure Hunt channel i ran
3) the winner was ShadowHawke of Final Horizon who did the race in his Apoc. I transferred the 50mill straight away.
4) I gave Durania 4 mill isk for getting to the can first, but not being able to get the password typed in correctly.
5) I gave 10million to the creator of this thread for helping me organise the event.
6) I've never partaken in ANY pirate activities and if you had bothered to check me out, you would see I have a + 10.0 sec rating.
7) I gave 25mill to the winner of another competition i ran. That post can also be seen on the Events forum.
While you are a sad cynical person, I thank the 45 for taking part, and the 33 who completed the race. Well done all.
