Seriously, seems like a nifty little ship, and T1, so why don't I ever see them for sale? Am I just looking in the wrong areas? Don't really want to spend several million on a BPO assuming I can find one for it...never tried manufacturing and am nervous about it. :-)

There's not many in the game mate. They are not a produced item.
I still remember seeing one back in my nubbin days for 20mill and thought it was overpriced  Silly me, your looking at 500mill+ for one now 
lol and as far as I know they are the ONLY cruiser still in the game capable of fielding 10 drones. (without using borderline haxploits of course  )

This was a event ship only,
There isnt a BPo/c for it,
it goes for 2 to 3 bil.

50 of them were given out at an event and there's only about 25 left. There's no BPOs and they cost 100s of millions if not billions.

They're semi-faction or something. I think a lot were given out as rewards for something years ago, and they're still available as loyalty rewards from missions (EDIT - no apparently they're not  ).
Don't know why they're on the market. I think you can still get some from contracts but they're considered collectors items and sell for a hefty price (200 mil, but I may be pulling that figure out of my ass).

nah not many left vigilant and vindicator are the serpentis BPC drops. U can get them would like to see a serpentis faction vexor tho drop (CCP dont beleive in em tho)

exactly same a sme, i thought why wud i pay 13mill more for a missile launcher lol how i cry nowdays when they sell for couple billion
