I have one of this fine print.
I will get married in june and will stop Eve. I would like to get ride of all my industrial stuff to spend my last months in eve with billions to buy a lot of crap and give a lot of money to my friends 
Will you be interrested by a vaste lottery to have a chance of getting one ?
I'll setup it if survey is good, otherwise, I'll simply sell it to a fat rich man/corp

My prediction is a big failure. The tickets cannot be made cheap enough for enough people to buy them. Even though it would be the lottery of the lotteries, you would need to sell tenthousands of tickets, unless you believe someone would like to spend a billion on a ticket to get a 1/100 chance to get such a BPO, I would just sell it in an auction to a big fat rich corp/guy. There is not much to do in this case, unless you're generous enough to lower the overall value of the BPO to something low enough that would make people buy enough tickets. But to sell something like 100b worth of tickets would be impossible I guess.

Im sure we would all be happy to buy it from you. The only way you could really do a lottery is have the tickets worth 1 billion and restrict it to 100-150 max tickets. While there has been nothing quite this valuable lotteried off I do recall Joe selling a Taranis and 1 t2 frig mod bpos of with 30 tickets each costing 1 billion although I cant remember how successful it was.

I'm sure that 100 corps and individuals would be prepared to put up between 500m to 1b for a chance at this BPO. The only issue I see is establishing enough trust for people to send the Isk in the first place - sort this out and I think you'd have a great lottery.

Id go for the 500M tickets, altho no ticket limits, otherwise a big fat/rich man/corp will buy them all and screw it up.

I agree with Chribba, if you indeed have the BPO, then you will already have billions of isk under your belt, why not partake in an act of random kindness.
(this is not a give me the BPO, but would not turn it down) :P
Carlsberg dont make Eve Pilots, but if they did, i wouldnt be one of them.

If you're going to do a lottery,
1) Winning number is based on real-world drawing
2) ISK is transferred from players to a respectable 3rd party for ticket purchases

If you do a lottery you will not sell enough tickets unless you price them at a billion ISK each (or still a high price)
In this case the only ppl that can participate are fatcats anyway.

could always give it to BIG for the 100th drawing (which is due in roughly 10 weeks). Would make a nice first prize and BIG tend to have a habit of getting a lot of tickets sold for the anniversary lotteries.
I would also be willing to be the 3rd party bank to hold the isk if you do end up doigna lottery of your own.

I am pretty sure you would sell enough tickets - its every corps dream come true after all. I think the problem is trust - so many scams have worn it away. You would need some reputable 3rd party to conduct auction and transfer i think. And there are few reputable people in eve these days.

Makes me wonder how hard it would be for CCP to add another contract type of "Lottery", the itme would be there for all to inspect, the auction would only happen when all tickets are sold, and if not sold within a certain time limit all money would be returned to entrants and the prize to the person running the lottery. Winner could be based on a random number generator on the server.
So many of these lotteries are run, I don't see why CCP don't implement it.

i am not the one to tell you what to do.
But since i am a poor not very old char in this game, i think a lottery with loads of tickets would be great.
Kinda take a certain numbers series, like in a national lottery, then when the lottery is drawn use the numbers from the official draw to decide who wins.
And if the tickets are in price range, i would be happy to send some isk for a ticket.

Thx all for your kind words and feelings about the lottery idea.
Unfortunatly, I think it will be too hard to setup a lottery for it as value is a bit high. I dont want to set a lottery with 500Mil tickets as the idea was to give a chance to everyone.
I could now sell but I found a better solution and it will stay in the corp I love too much.
