Ever tried to figure out how to set a remote buy order ? Until now it only worked indirectly if the item was for sale in the remote station. Not very useful in most cases.
Those days are gone. If you click the "Place buy order" button in space now, you get a full list of stations to choose from, according to your trade skills.
I consider this a late X-mas present

I guess I finally have a reason to train up procurement and visibility. This would have been useful when I was roaming aimlessly though 0.0.

yeah, but if station A dosn't have item for sale when I select station A from that list the buy order still lists station B(where it is for sale)

This has been working since Kali was released... I figured it was common knowledge.

If it was working, it is certainly broken now. In the Advanced buy window I click on the station and select the currrent station, set the remainder of the fields, but when I enter the order it seems like the station is chosen at random and my selection is ignored. It's perplexing that they can have such basic stuff so badly broken.

I am confused by this post.
I having been using the feature from in-station for awhile now with no issue.
1. Place Buy order
2. Advanced Buy order
3. Right click on station name and select "Select Station"
4. Enter partial station name/System name, if there is more than one station in system then it will give you choices
5. Select your choice click ok
6. Setup buy order as normal.
No need to be in space

This post was originally made because before Kali remote buyorders didn't really work, making training the remote buy skills completely useless.
Ever since Kali it works perfectly. You can either make remote buyorders inside a station (like you describe) or somewhere in space. I make mine usually while warping from gate to gate, saves me a lot of time  .

They worked pre-Kali, but in a crippled manner. A station had to already have the item in stock in order to place a buy order in that station for that item. You also had to be in space.
The system now works as it should... as I said 2.5 months ago
