I am contributing to the salvage database and after the extended downtime the result for my salvage have always been on the low end of the result spread.
Something I can aspect when salvaging in high security but not in 0.2 (currently my missions are about 50-50 hi sec/low sec).
Someone has noticed this trend too?
I fear that in the upgrade reconfiguring the database for the salvage has been reset, returning to lower results or deleting the security level modifier.

Just completed two IV lvl missions in the high-sec. Salvaging results is the same as it was before DT.

Edited by: Venkul Mul on 06/01/2007 19:51:00 Yes, my dubt is more about the modifier based on lower security. Confronting with the mission registered in the database, when I do mission in 0.8-0.9 I aspect to be one of the player with the lover number of salvaged items, when I do amission in 0.2, to be again the one with the lower number is a bit strange.
Before the difference was immediatly perceptible.

I run both L3 and L4 missions in a 0.5 system and haven't noticed a change on most of the missions that have salvage. Last night I got a semi-rare Sansha mission and the drop rate seemed lower than I expected. Might just be my perception though, as I don't see that mission very often. ---------- The right to do something doesn't make doing it right. |

Edited by: Leandro Salazar on 07/01/2007 11:11:04 Lowsec salvage is unchanged for me. And I am pretty sure salvage in lowsec and highsec is exactly the same. I mean, loot is the same, bounties are the same, so why would salvage be different? --------- ZOMG my sig was concordokkened! Link removed due to bad language on remote site. -wystler

The salvage rate seem to have reset as before the extended DT, with an increased yeld in the lower security system. Maybe it was only a statistical fluke.
Leandro: it is only empirycalevidence , but as I am contributing to the database of the salvage for the mission I have a good referral.
When I do mission in 0.9 my results are in the lowest brakets for that kind of mission againsta that enemy.
Doing missions in 0.5 I usually have results a little above the average, and that mean about 50% extra salvage on the worst results for that mission.
Doing missions in 0.4-0.2 my position on the spread of results get even better.
I think that there is a modifier for salvage in belts tied to the security status of the system, part of the attempt to lure more people in low sec.
As only the belts rats give salvage (even when presents in a mission (maybe not totally true as there is some rare report of salvage from non rat tipe ships)) that modifier is imported in the salvage results in the mission.
