I've travelled to Jita with my 20 million ISK given by my father. After my arrival, I've registered the Gain's Trading corporation and bought myself more literature I could learn from. Not surprisingly, the knowledge comes not without a price and now I've already had to spent most of my inherited ISK, investing it into my dream: a trading company. No, I don't really need the excitement of a fight, nor the hypnotic humming of mining lasers. I'm interested in ISK. Interstellar Kredits, a currency that everyone in this galaxy wants to have, hopefully without any work. Who are you? You... You may be the one who doesn't have to work to get his ISK. Of course nothing comes without a price, but that particular price - you would pay only once. Keep reading. How is it going to bring you ISK? I'll be honest with you. I lied. It won't come without work. I will have to do some work for you. You have to help me with that. The thing a trader needs is ISK. He uses the ISK wisely, he does not look at it filling up his wallet. ISK loves to move, ISK loves the action. ISK loves to meet new people and new places. The trader's role is merely to help the money change its forms and owners. The trader changes the ISK into merchandise, and then changes the goods back into... more ISK. That's how it works. You will have to know some math first. The Math I'm offering you a fair deal. I'm offering you my time, my work, and my experience. I'm expecting you to offer me ISK, so I can work with it. We'll split our income. As I don't do this for charity or out of good heart, we have to establish some rules. What if you could own a part of [GAINS]? What if you could earn a part of its profits? For a mere 1,000,000 ISK I'm offering you one of a thousand shares of Gain's Trading. I'm going to sell 499 of these shares. This will bring a capital of 499,000,000 ISK - that's 499 million. I'll take 250 shares myself, and leave 251 in the [GAINS] wallet. This way I will assure that you and the likes will get 49.9% of the dividends Gain's Trading will be paying. I'm going to get 25.0% of them, and 25.1% will be used to fulfill the corporation's needs, like office fees or courier fees. The rest will be invested in even more trading. The concept of this business is to earn by reselling. Earning on the hasty ones as I say. With my experience I can promise a 5% weekly return on investment. That means that in 20 weeks you will be at a plus, just by having the shares. In case the profit would exceed 5% per week, the dividends will be higher. What if you need your money back? I plan on buying back shares from the shareholders (yes, you!) starting February 1st. I'll be able to buy back at least 15 shares per week, if any are offered. I'll buy back 15 shares at prices up to 1,150,000 ISK each week. Please note: I'll be buying back cheapest shares offered first. Summary Total number of [GAINS] shares: 1000 Held by Gain's Trading: 251 Held by Rebuen Gain: 250 For sale: 499 IPO share price: 1,000,000 ISK Guaranteed weekly dividend (per share): 50,000 ISK Guaranteed number of shares bought back weekly: 15 Maximal buyback price after February 1st: 1,150,000 ISK / share How to buy shares? Transfer 1,000,000 ISK to "Gain's Trading" (check spelling) corporation account for each share you want to buy. If I'm online I will transfer a proper amount of shares into your wallet and you will officially become a co-owner of Gain's Trading. In the transfer description - write if you allow me to post here about your investment. Please do not send ISK to my personal account, as I'll consider it a personal donation, not a business deal. Can we get some fraps of your wallet/corp wallet, to show you've ever seen this kind of isk, and some of your transaction logs to show you've done a lot of this trading before and have had good profits?? MP Hey Prophet. No, you can't get fraps of my wallet nor the transaction logs. I'm not going to give away transaction logs, consider them a trader's secret. Journal shots on the other hand can be made available, as well as an inside audit - I'm going to let Junior Accountants in the corp when the Jita office prices are within reach. Any experienced trader knows that with 500 million ISK it's easy to make another 50 in Jita during a week, or even in a shorter period of time. About my own motivation to do this: this is a character I'm going to use as an experiment for the shares market. There are things I always wanted to try, but I couldn't when I wasn't the only person in a corporation - like having an IPO and trying to work for the shareholders. This is a single person enterprise, so all the responsibility is only on me. I like challenges.

So what do you want to see? A screenshot? As I've said I don't want to post a transaction log screenshot as it would give away my customers, prices, locations and types of goods I trade and I consider it being something that shouldn't be made public. I would have to blur the info I don't want to share. That could be called fake then, you know. And it's an argument you could hang on to. I could also transfer enough ISK to this account just to make a screenshot that would confirm my credibility. But that also could be faked. Anything posted by a 1 day old character looks fake, I realize that. And that's exactly the point of my personal challenge - to try to achieve something starting from zero, having additional responsibility at the same time. Well, the 20 million ISK isn't zero. It bought me a couple of trading skillbooks. The best proof I can provide is the dividends that will be paid every week. Then hopefully I can count on positive feedback from the investors, of course if there are any. I don't really count on this to be a "raise 500 million ISK fast" scheme. It will take weeks, but I believe it will eventually succeed.

But if your goal is to try and start from nothing and make an empire, you can do it with what you have right now. The day after Revelations came out I started a new character set up as a trader. I also started with 5 million I made from mining for like an entire day. Turning back on my noobiness and my mining, I set out to make my fortune. In just 15 days I turned 5 million into a billion. I'm sure you can do it too, with no outside investors.

It's a massively multiplayer role-playing game after all, and a little bit of role playing doesn't hurt. Thanks for the best wishes and hints, I'm still hoping to see some investors. I could easily sponsor myself, but that's not the point of what I try to achieve here.

So why won't you share information about that "nothing special" what you do with the rest of the traders? As for your question, there are two answers: 1. I don't want additional competition in the markets I know. 2. I don't want to ruin people's fun of figuring some stuff out by themselves. I know I've had fun when I learned everything.
Nimie	Posted - 2007.01.07 00:47:00 - [15] because my nothing special is worth 100b. you only need to share your log with one person. look for someone that seems trustworthy and hope they won't abuse it. you're competion is at best one person even if it fails. the worst case scenario is that you lose that one market, but if you're good you can find many more. the best case scenario is that you have your little secrets kept and that you get the support words of a good trader.

I won't be getting any profits from the dividends until all of them are sold, "my" 250 shares are currently in the corporation's wallet.

I'm usually near the NeoCom, so I should be able to talk. @Kaali: It all depends on definition of zero :). At the moment my personal wallet's balance is below 1 million ISK. The GAINS wallet on the other hand is at 237 million ISK, not counting assets, goods currently being traded and ISK escrowed to fulfill the market orders. At the moment [GAINS] is really owned by the investors, who gave it starting capital, and I am personally responsible for ensuring the profit to the investors. ISK is something that comes and goes, but the reputation isn't. I'm putting my reputation at stake, something that once lost can't be just bought. In reality this puts me below zero at a start. I've started from absolute zero once, and I've been pretty successful, not in Jita though, but in Oursulaert, at times where that system had a bit more traffic. Starting with absolutely nothing isn't fun for me then - I don't have that much fun when I do something for the second time. EVE is so complex, you won't run out of possibilities, and that's another possibility I've decided to explore. Anyway, I've always wanted to see my corp's ticker in a stock exchange, which I hope will eventually happen... But that's another story :)
