For those of you who don't know (or don't remember), there was an event a couple of years ago involving a Jovian representative using an experimental jump drive. On his first jump, he exploded and sent pieces of himself and the ship he was flying across the entire EVE universe. From what I recall, there was a race of sorts between the races to see who could gather the most body parts. Anyway, the body parts were gathered and the Jovians reconstructed the representative.
While, I'm assuming, all the body parts were collected, the complex fullerene shards served no real purpose. I recall the devs saying at one point that the fullerene shards would come into play in the future. Well, it's been two years since the event, and the shard I have continues to sit in my hanger gathering dust.
I would like to know if there are still some plans for these to be used, or are they just going to continue being a souvenir from the event?

Also, did we Caldari ever get our standing increase with the Joves for winning the race?

I think so. Wasn't much of a standing increase.
I wonder if anyone is even buying these anymore. I remember there being a rash of collectors back then.

I dont like these "races" between races to collect as much as something. Because caldari will always win because caldari is like 50% of EVE.

/me thinks about drake, missiles, passive shieldtanks and earlier t2 jav torps.

Would love to know the answer to this. Ouver said both unused body parts and the complex shard would be used in a later event.
PS Ill buy the shards if you dont want em.

Depends on how much you are willing to give. I just gave the shard to an alt, since this one will be going away as soon as I change the portraits.
Just send an EVE-Mail to Prime Entity with an offer.
