Yes, I'm fairly newb to the mission running bits.....but is there any place to find what missions have a chance to drop faction items/from what structures?
I was using eve info, but it seems way out of date and wasting time shooting a Gurista War Installation in Vengeance, for example, if it doesn't drop faction is....painful :(

Afaik there are currently only four chances for faction loot in missions:
1. A deadspace overseer structure in the bonus stage of Angel Extravaganza
2. A deadspace overseer structure in the bonus stage of Guristas Extravaganza
3. A chance for a commander rat in 'The Blockade'
4. A chance for a commander rat in the lvl4 version of 'Worlds Collide'
I have experienced 2 and 4 myself, only know the other two from heresay.

I've heard the same, but also heard Massive Attack or Pirate Invasion (whichever one has the insane last level where everything aggros..I want to say Massive Attack) can also drop one from the installation there, so I was wondering how out of date I was.

seen number 3 once myself..
but...got nothing but standard stuff, I am pretty sure CCP nerfed them wayy back that you cant get those things in high sec, (well the loot drop...)

You are way too pessimist.
In 9 months I have got some hundred units of faction ammunitions and 2 modules from Blood Raiders (the last two helping a friend in an Amarr storyline mission).
And some piece in COSMOS missions (fderate navy balsters and a special medium armor repair).
So a lot of items  .

picked up a small blood armor rep on a lvl 3 rat. I think it was pirate smugglers or something if memory serves me correctly. It was not one of the harder missions though, just 1 stage -> warp in -> kill 10-ish dudes -> done. Not the most spamtastic thing ever, but faction nontheless.

I picked up a Blood Power Diagnostic Unit once on a Lvl 3 mission one that I think has 2 stages. Second one has sentry guns around a square structure and some propecy's against Blood Raiders. Fetched some niceISk in Jita let me tel you.

I got faction items in several of other missions. 1/4 hard angel level 3 missions gave-me a domination stuff.
If brute force doesn't solve your problem.. then you are not using enough!! |

I got a faction scrambler from a Level 3 storyline mission, also picked up a 3% mining implant on the same mission. I was pretty chuffed.

I can confirm #3 as well.
This will sound insane but I found a dire gursta shield boost amp in a L1 blockade mission, sold for 84 million.
Great jumpstart for a new player.

what part of Worlds Collide does the commander spawn in? Can you get it in either the serpentis or guristas area, or do you have to check both areas in order to find it? I can barely survive the Serpentis area let alone missile spam guristas.

Second stage, they spawn in both areas and it might takes hours after the mission has been started before they spawn.

i had a commander spawn on the wc serpentis site. unfortunately he didnt dropp anything :( but go treally lucky on guri vaganza. so far i looted out of the can, dg webber, dg rail, dg bcu, several dg passive hardeners;)

anyway, i presume ive just been hideously unlucky for approaching years now, as my mate regularly pulled in 2-3 local cargo expanders a day, and ive never had better than a 25% xD

I once got a lvl IV mission called 'gone beserk'. The boss that i killed had an phantasm BPC in his loot. That was the best faction loot i got out from a mission. I play EVE two years now and i only got this mission about two times i think.. not sure tho. But i dont know if this mission still runs in EVE. But if you get it cross your fingers and hope for the best. Good luck hunting

the lvl III storyline called a 'force to be reconned with' also droppes faction loot. (dark blood) you even can harvest it. Shoot al the rats, except for one. And you can harvest one faction module a day. :)

I've found 2 Domination Invulnerability Fields from L4 blockade (AFAIR) pre-kali (half a year ago or so).

I've had a Serp commander spawn on Worlds Collide, and also a Dread Gurista on the "Mordu's headhunters" mission.
My corpies keep telling me that the structure in the bonus section in Angel's Extravaganza drops faction loot...I haven't seen it yet, despite doing the mission lots of times..

I have done about 60-70 mostly Lv3's in the last 4 months and i only ever get hardwiring and implants and mostly for storyline missions. Never, not even once have i got any faction kit ever! Have they got some sort of identifying colour 'tag' like the T2 stuff...maybe i'm missing them?
And i loot everything.

If i do only one side in WC, will the overseer spawn? Or he spawns randomly in one of the two sides, without you clearing the rooms first?
Hope to get a reply soonish, i'm going in. :D Just want to know if is worth the wait, or i should go turn the mission right after i am done with it. Thanks. |

Got a 4.8mil BS, on serpentis side, with 1xSS Reactive Plating and 1xEnergized Thermic Membrane and some ammo ofc. Nothing too hot, but still.

if that were only true. been a fairly dedicated missioner for 8 months and yet to see the first faction drop of any sort.

The last 2 WCs I did:
1) 3+ mil Shadow Serp Overseer that dropped some SS ammo and a SS hardener. This is on the Serp side, obviously, and was there when I first warped in. Took out the closer two spawns and then killed it. I was told it's pretty rare to get one on warp-in.
2) Next time round, no overseer. But after I cleared the Guri side and third room, I warped back into the Serp room and found a 1 mil Serp Overseer, which was promptly dispatched and gave me absolutely nothing in loot :(

i'm havent run a huge number of missions by no means... coolest thing i have found would be a few +3 implants..
i have heard before that you get better rewards if you are doing missions in lower sec. has anyone above found any of this cool faction loot doing a lvl4 mission in say 0.8+ ?

lvl3 storyline mission called "a force to be reckoned" - ulena bloodsworn (i think thats the npc name) has a chance to drop faction loot :)
first time i did this i got a dark blood hardener + energized membrane, second time i got a dark blood stasis web + hardener.
didnt get any faction drops on 3rd and 4rd :(
