I intended to leave this thread to sink to the bottom, but many foemen alliance people have expressed an opinion which I feel it would be imploite not to refer to. Firstly thank you all for your constructive posts. I know a lot of people took the forum posts as harmless fun and a chance for some heated debate. In particular the positive comments from foemen alliance peeps is pleasing and shows that perspective is alive and well in the forums. However, some people react to some of our members posts on the forum as if somebody has lifted their letterbox and ** through it onto the snoozing pet cat. As such, flamgage was rife, and many post sprung up about us. 3 of these threads were started by us, three by randoms. All post quickly grew to 100+,200+,300+ posts as,love us or loathe us, most people had an opinion. The Moo post particulaly offended some, and people lined up to post "remove this thread", simultanously bumping it to the top of the forum again, and enraging more people. Any Alliance who is running 40 wars at the same time, and rotating them over 100s of corps/alliance is obvioulsy not gogin to be particulaly popular. So it follows we would attract many negative posts, from the people we have fought, and killed, and indeed that have killed us. This in turn lead many in our alliance to become uneasy about some of the posts. This was seen as a factor in damaging the enjoyment of some members in the privateer alliance. Which, as you know, is against the main rule of the privatter alliance "do not grief a corpie". The eve community whilst rich in talant, seems to get a little defensive when certain ideas are challanged. An apology was issued by our CEO, addressed at those who had felt particulay mortified. It was felt that letting our guns do the talking would be the most prudent route.
