I contacted Otondo about purchasing his character which he auctioned on this website and paid him 1.5bil isk. He collected the money then logged out of the game and has not transfered the character to my account.
I filed a petition in game, and I saved the chat file I had with him regarding the transfer of the character to my account.
He has since deleted the character Skullos Soulcrusher and moved Otondo into a different corportation since he "sold" the character to me.
How do I get the character or get my money back?
Members of Hotrock Mining PLC, Otondo is a new member of your corporation and is a scammer and a thief. He stole 1.5bil isk from me before he joined your corporation. Can you assist me in stopping this thief? Thank you

Petition "exploit" and you should get it resolved within minutes. He will get permanently banned from EVE.

I think this part makes CCP not responsable for your loss. Char sales are protected on this website but not on player hosted sites afaik.

Very disturbing news as I believe one of my existing corpmates has purchased Otondo. I have eve-mailed the guy about it, hopefully this can get sorted soon. Scammers FTL

Ouch that sucks but yeah, like most people are saying here it's under CCP protection since he made the uaction on this website.
Oh and some of you need to check your eyes/reading skills

Petition it as an exploit, should get a snappy response.
I hope the other fella here doesn't get had to, if your buddies paid for the other toon, see if he's paid and if he has might be time for him to petition too.

If you have
a) THe auction link on the sell forums
b) The chat logs
c) The money transfere evident
You will get your money back. I'm not sure about the character and the original account owner shall be banned.
