People are just figuring out how to do it. It's a pretty lengthy process from what I understand and you also need a POS to actually make them.

From what I could gather: You need a POS to support the 'Drug Lab'. The Drug lab is available on the market.
What I am concerned with is: What skill books do you need to use the harvesters (Name) What equipment to harvest the gas clouds (Name) Anything else special?
I know that you must explore to find the fittings, BPC & skillbooks.

Well apparently nobody has found a gas cloud harvester yet, but when I heard that it was almost 2 weeks ago, so something might show up. They definitely are rare though.
There's quite a bit of information in the missions forum (i think it's that forum anyways).

From what i have been told you can make the reactions at the drug lab.But the true final process off basicly "bottling" the drug can only happen at a outpost. ---

One of my friends got a cloud harvester from an exploration complex.
But he doesn't have the skillbook to use it, d'oh.
Supposedly it took Archaeology 5 to open the can with the harvester in it.

You need a gas cloud harvester, the gas cloud harvesting skill (both not sold on market) So do COSMOS or ?exploration? for both of those Then you explore for a gas cloud Mine the gas cloud, refine/purify the stuff at a pos Then make the drugs at a pos Then get them into empire where they are contraband.
Apologize if I missed anything, a little tired.

Gas cloud harvesters can be found from 0.0 COSMOS which is territorially controlled by several alliances because of the escalation thing which doesn't fit EVE's 0.0 politics at all. There is already a wide-spread booster production going on in some alliances though, it's the same old "We have this so you can't have this." thing that's going on. At the moment boosters are very much limited to just a handful of alliances.

I was looking into the subject for some time, and it's very little info on it. Eventually I think it'll clear a bit. What's more annoying is the need for very high level of very special skills, which encourages a use of alts (like we don't have enough of them). All those very special skills which can be applied to very special items and demand a very looooong training time is an invitation to alts. Eve has already enough activities that only alts do. We already have scouting alts, mining alts, hauling alts, production alts, refining alts, etc. etc. So, please don't make exploration another alt area, when you clear the complex and bring in an alt with maxed out hacking/archeology to complete the job.
The question is: is having multiple accounts is the only way to truly do well in the game?

Spcecialization is good, if you wanna be good in it and reap in the benefits you need to invest the time for it. If you want everything handed too you go play another MMO. You dont need multiple accounts to do well in this game. If you believe that then you need to change you way of thinking

If you want to fly T1 cruisers forever, then you're right. Yes, there's the other way, grind yourself to death to fly something decent and lose it in 5 sec. The ship I liked to fly most (ceptors) is slowly getting obsolete, as ppl tend to roam in HAC/command ship gangs nowdays. And in order to be good with ceptors you'd better plug a full set of implants worth 1 bill ISK. HAC/Recon/Command bc? Don't tell me about them, they are out of reach unless you pump ISK like OPEC oil.

Edited by: Annatar on 08/01/2007 13:01:39 You need more patience young Padawan.
Its true that even with patience you could use an additional Acount, but thats also in other Games not that unsusual.
The only real Diffrence is that in Eve you really can do "all", you just need the Patience and Focus to know what you want to skill and when.
Not easy without Powergrinding compared to other Games (wOW anyone ^^) but mutch more pleasure in eve, then to reach lvl 60 in other games, becourse then the "End" of the Game gets near.
-------------------------------------------- Never argue with an Idoit, they will drag you down to their Level and beat you with experience. |

Actually, I use corp mates, although if your social skills are low it can take a while to get them to train for stuff like Archaeology and Dreads.
Besides, specialization is for insects. --

Edited by: Falcione on 08/01/2007 15:58:40 The one problem with boosters is the only people that can actually use them need a skill to do it. And is that skill readily available? NO!
This will keep the booster price down of course, but it also means that boosters will not be available to the general public until A) x-Alliance gets saturated with them and decides to go public. OR B) x-Alliance decides to explore the CRAP out of 0.0 and find a ton of books. Even then, that second option is a long shot.
I would have liked to see the skill to actually use the finished product available on the market in 0.0 stations only. But keep the skills/mods to produce the stuff rare, like it is now. ----------- My Bio in Progress Prologue / CH.1 |

Ehm, Boosters require the Biology skill. The level depends on whether you want to use the Standard, Improved or Strong variants.
This info has been available since the opening of Sisi for curious players and can be verified by searching on the market (with "Show only available" set to off). I don't get why so many people claim that the needed skill was not known or not available. Biology is sold by NPCs for 22.5k isk.
The neccessity of gas cloud harvesting was published in dev blogs I believe and iirc as a sidenote in some chronicle. So that is known, too
*confused*
