While expect to poo stones before i get anything from my agents (working irl on r&d myself, i dont expect anything from those "colleagues" :D ), i was curious if, with the (few?lots of?) new T2 BPO reseeded in lottery, the insane prices of those were reduced in player to player trading?
anyone knows/ has links to some deals made since revelation patch? ------

I don't think the reseed has done much if anything to the t2 bpo prices. Check teh sell forum, there's usually 3-4 going at any given time. ----------------------

Yes, quite a few BPO's have exchanged hands for 30-35% under the prices of the last weeks before Kali.. Also a few BPO's that were never for sale are for sale now. AATP BPO portfolio was about 12-20b over IPO, and now only 3-4b over IPO.. so 10-15% loss there I guess... Biggest hits on teh Fleet Command Ships and small guns as far as I have seen.

They are not on/in the market yet. They are in the lottery.

I still have a gut feeling that the Dev's have set the lottery to issue say 10 BPO's per field every week basically forever. We won't know though for say another month or two when we see if people are still getting BPO's. I just have this gut feeling that T3 is going to be invention and T2 pot luck.

Thought crossed my mind too, but imo that's going to be a lot longer term. I'd imagine they're going to first test out Invention on the T2 market, seeing how long drop rates/etc. take to bring prices down. Then they'd start the "more bpo" campaign and set a properly-tuned Invention's sights on T3. Or at least that's the way I'd do it I were CCP... and sane.

I don't know. There seems to be a fair number of folks selling T2 BPO's on the sale forum several weeks after the reseed. Not sure I'd pay 50Bil for a Cap Recharger II BPO right now. . . Names, Dates, Times, Engagements, Losses, Op-Tempo or STFU! |

Edited by: Splagada on 09/01/2007 08:42:37 seeing the prices still, i think the sellers are "panic sellers" who want to sell before any risk of price drop happen. but there is still about the same demand apparently.
it slightly reduces the prices but they are still really really high. some sell prices represent almost one year of non stop production to get even :/ as market is the ultimate definition of "common sense" in general, imo it means the offer didnt change much
so i dont thing most of the sold bpos depend on the new lottery, it looks like old ones.
so who got them ! ------

As a buyer of T2 BPOs Id say during the first 2 weeks or so of Kali BPO prices took a sharp drop due to uncertainty (I got a Cruise Launcher 2 BPO for about 30 weeks worth of profit in a station and the seller was trying to sell it for 12 hours on a sunday)but I think prices have gone back to pre-kali levels (e.g. the Tachyon Beam 2 BPO which went for 30 billion which is about 2 years worth of profit on current prices)

I think corps/alliances and rich players are buying up T2 BPO's on anything they may need, hoping to stop prices from dropping. Remember, adding a relatively small number of new BPO's wouldn't cause a massive drop unless people are scared of buying them. If people still buy them expecting large returns then they will sell for large amounts still.
The price drop will occur as 5 or 10 new T2 BPO owners start cranking out goods non stop... the market prices for T2 is largely based on supply/demand, not on the actual price of the goods, meaning it follows traditional economic principles. If you increase supply and demand stays constant, than the price will drop. However, we all know there is an ever increasing demand for T2 because EVE's population is slowly increasing.
However, an injection of 5+ BPO's at once is a faster growth than that of the EVE player base... thus T2 prices will slowly drop as supply and demand plays out. This will take a bit of time generally to work its way through out empire and then 0.0 markets.
Once T2 prices drop, it will impact those T2 BPO formulas which rely on the profitability of the BPO. If prices drop 20% on the T2 item, the BPO will drop 20% as well.
I can tell you as a market trader I have already noticed T2 prices edging downwards slowly, especially in the ship market but in the modules as well. So will prices drop a lot more in the next few months? Definitely. Will it be sudden? No. Will people who invest billions now lose money? No, not if they keep producing until they make up their lost revenue... but they may lose money in the short run as prices plummet... and if they get scared and sell when that occurs they will indeed lose a lot.

Also one has to remember that the ones who get the BPO's and do not sell them will first research them. This will take time as well. Give the ship bpo holders 2 month to get their first production runs on the market and modules at least 2 weeks. The prices will drop but as said many times it will take a while.

The reseed appears to be smaller than most people thought.
Invention will likely affect prices more than the reseed.
