Edited by: ninjaholic on 11/01/2007 12:56:26 Man that's a dangerous request.
There's probably no keylogger that doesn't use the internet to send periodic screenshots and keylodded info, via it's own SMTP server.
My recommendation?
Google it here
Search the words "Key logger" and "keylogger".

There are many professional keyloggers that are free or cost money--they're real programs, not hacker tools, and are often used by corporations. Check one of them out.

You don't need keylogger for that. Control Panel -> Performance and maintenance -> Administrative Tools -> Event Viewer ... then check the times of registered events vs the time you weren't using your computer yourself.

I would suggest that if you have a concern about your parents searching your computer, you may want to simply stop any activities at which you feel your parents would disapprove if they were to find out what those activities are, by searching your computer.
Your parents have not only a responsibility to you to protect you from your lack of good judgment, but in fact, a moral obligation, that if they were to find out that you have been for example, conversing with 'internet friends' of dubious character, i.e. on chat rooms, youtube or myspace, whichever the case may be, to report those people to any concerned authorities.
Your request for a key logger to determine if your parents are 'spying' on you, leads me to think that perhaps, your parents should not allow you internet access in the first place.

If you are running XP or 2000 go to the Event Viewer Logs under "Manage" under "My Computer". The "application" event logs may not mean much to the average person but they follow a set pattern every time the PC is booted. Unless of course your parents are Very Very good at IT.
Edit: Actually, I should be ashamed of myself telling you that - I'm 49 with two teenagers of my own. I have to admit I sometimes poke around on their machines to see what they are up to. Best possible intentions of course. I've never challenged them about anything. It is in same category as watching a three year old toddler running around a duck pond in a park. You want them to have fun but want to protect them from danger. My 18 year old is at work now and is of an age where he is should be the master of his own destiny - I tend these days to let him get on with his life with little overt interference.
