They were given out as prizes in some tourney or something back when EVE was new and CCP was excited about doing cool events with cool prizes.
At least one still exists and I predict he will post in this thread soon to tell you all about it.
I think the Opux Yacht makes an appearance in a mission, too.

It was given to a couple who were engaged at the EVE fan-faire a while ago (Wikipedia says so at least).

If I recall correctly. The Opux Dragoon Yacht is the ship used in the alliance tourney as a cameraboat, and actually differs from the Opux Luxury Yacht.

The Opux Dragoon Yacht is the only ship I would trade the Opux Luxury Yacht for.
That, and along with the skill required to fly it.
Which, I'll never get, so it looks like im stuck with the Opux.
Oh well.

Opux Luxury Yacht
This is the one that Voogru and the couple from New Zealand both have.
Opux Dragoon Yacht
This was a modified version of the Opux Luxury yacht that was used for the first EVETV as a camera boat.
Opux Hyperion
This was a second modified version of the Opux, although how it differs from the Dragoon, I'm unsure. This was used in the second, recent EVETV as a camera boat.
You take what is offered. And that must sometimes be enough. |

Now I've been reading around on this ship, and I seem to recall something from E-On mag, there should be a an article with the other owner of these ships. Where she praises it. I started connecting the dot with Voogru mentioned. Sorry for my grammar and memory, but think it was 2nd. or 3rd. issue?

Where is that cosmos mission exactly? it would be nice to see the yacht in person sometime.
I'm guessing it's around that algintal (sp?) cosmos place with the azure canyon etc.
But which cosomos and system exactly is it?
I'm lazy so i don't feel like checking every plex myself.

The third is unflyable and currently in orbit of one of the moons in the Lirsautton system.
