I recently fell in love with the Myrmidon. Especially the slot layout is very tempting ...
Since I feel uncomfortable with the very short range of Blaters, I started thinking about fitting the Myrmidon with medium railguns. Do you think this will work out in classic Gate-to-Gate-PVP? Or will the mediocre tracking of the rails screw me up?
Any suggestions are welcome!

Would be interesting, what sort of targets were you thinking you'd be after, or would it be across the board?
Thinking whether you would be able to track and do significant enough damage with rails...

ever tried thinking about using beam lasers or artillary cannons on the myridon. something a bit different from railguns, and as you have no hybrid turret bonuses, might be worth a try to think outta the box

I'd try projectiles, either cannons or arties. The big benefits are
you can choose your damage type and change if need be
they use no cap so more left to tank with (less need for NOS to keep it running)

Well, you can never be sure, what you get ...

But I think mostly I will concentrate on Cruiser-/BC-sized targets at a range between 15k and 25k (Typical Jumpgate-Distance).
Due to the fact, that I plan to use 3 sensor dampeners, I may even stand a chance against BS, as long as I am able to keep them within Jammer-/Dampener-range.

Out of interest you gonna be running a tank on that your you going for dmg?
