Does anyone know how EVE works with this new OS? I was lead to understand that the client doesn't cope very well with a 64-bit environment, or is that just me? Also, how much different is the performance compared to, say, Windows XP 32-bit?

I'm on WIn XP 64 bits => no problems :)
No better performance but same than a XP 32 bits.
I can wait for a 64 bits version of CCP or not ?
For info : UT2004 not a new game ... The devs have take the time to create a special patch for 64 bits system !!! (This game support Win, Linux, Mac and now 64 bits ;) )

And eve online seems to work great i just wish they up date the infor on there web site to add us in to it !
The new computers that will be out later in 2007 will just about all be 64 bit systems.
As for the old 32 bits why even keep them with all the bugs and bad OS software that has ever been out even RedHat was crap back then..

I just finish putting XP pro 64 on my computer. Running great so far. Run 2 clients with no problems
Abit AN8 x32
Amd 64x2 3800
pny dual 7600GT's
2 gigs ocz ram
120 gig HD (sad I know)
Did some benchmarks with 3dmark06 highest I got was 5120 so far need to do some tweaks.

Running Windows Vista 64x RC2 atm Loading time is lots faster then Windows XP x64 have only small problems with Unicode Fonts they are x2-3 then normal size everything else works fine <almost never crush>
