This year i have decided that im gonna take a 2-3week holiday in your glorius land, but for the life of me i don't know which part of the US i wanna visit. I'm from the UK born n bread and lived in london all my life, so 1st off i wanna say is forget New York, that place just seems like a US version of london and realy doesn't appeal to me. What i want is somewhere touristy but not touristy (If that makes sense) i wanna see sights and be able to have a nice time day and night, somewhere where there are some hawt american chics to (<3 your women). So could you guys recomend some places//citys or what ever to me, maybe give me a low down on whats hawt and whats not. Any info that can help me make a decision is appreciated. Come to Seattle. Good beer (really, our local brews are lightyears ahead of what is considered American Beer AKA ****water), Great summer weather, and the hot girls love Brit accents. The falls is certainly a site to see, but tbh, I can't in good conscious advise you to come to Western New York. Western New York (City of Buffalo) peaked in 1901 as a tourist destination; it has been on the decline ever since then... Best looking women? Probably the west coast, LA, San Diego, San Francisco... Problem is the ppl out on the west coast are all phony, and screwed up in the head, but there are certainly nice site to see there... Next hot woman destination would probably be Texas, there are more men than women there, and they grow some pretty hot chicks down there, good old American beauties... Next female hot spot would probably be Florida, Miami area... As far as scenery, probably can't beat Colorado, Rocky Mountains, etc... Arizona and the Grand Canyon... I hear places like some places in the Mid West have some pretty awesome scenery... I guess it depends on what you like... You certainly will not see any old architecture like you have over there, that's for sure... Check Here Building the homestead

Dont rule out New York...its overhyped yes, but still is nothing like London (not a comparison, both cities are great, but they are just completely different). Then you should get in a car and drive down to D.C. and curse about how much you hate NJ and the stupid tolls in Delware that make a 20 minute car ride take an hour and a half (a very american experience). Then you should hop a flight out to Austin in Texas. You kinda have to see texas once in your life I think. Spend a few days, soak up the flavor. Then high tail it over to Vegas. There is your hot chicks...party time. Spend some time here. the Grand Canyon is nearby. Then Head on over to LA. Check it out. Then drive from LA to San Fransico and check everything out. Do stuff. This trip would be terribly expensive but probaably a lot of fun. To be honest there are just tons of cool places to go, but the country is so big, it might just be better to choose a region you want to see, go there, and explore. It really depends on what kinda of stuff you are into. If you like battlefields and history stuff, go to the mid atlantic, with DC, Virginia, Maryland and Philly. If you like beaches, hit miami, the keys, west coast. If you like roller coasters hit Ohio and midwest (just a ridiculous amount of parks in this area really). If you like the great outdoors and hippie chicks, head out to the pacific north west. if you like guns, dont like governments you can try montana. on and on...there is something for everyone, somewhere.

Cletus III	Posted - 2007.01.10 01:41:00 - [14] If you want to see the Northeast You can fly in cheaper to Philadelphia, spend a couple days, then a nice tour would be out to Lancaster then down to D.C. then down to Virginia Beach and from there you could head down I-95 towards the south as Florida is beautiful this time of year. The country is so big you really need to decide an area you want to see as it is all vastly different. I would think it would be good to see the country as well as cities becasue we have some great people everywhere. Have fun, Good luck

Washington is in the Northwest Corner, with convienent access to Canada as well. Vancouver BC is also a nice city. Someone else said you can't beat the Rockies for beauty...well, I disagree. I am biased granted, but I find the Cascades and Olypmic Mountians to be far more beautiful (although not generally as tall except for Mt. Rainier) than the Rockies. We are also not landlocked like Colorado. Shore to mountaintop in one afternoon.

We loved LA, and the Grand Canyon, driving in a triangle from LA to Vegas, to the Canyon, then to San Fran and back to LA. Loved it all, amazingly different from here in Australia. Don't dismiss some of the touristy things - each place has them, but some have them better. The Star Trek exibhit at the Las Vegas Hilton is stunning - and the BEST ride in the world is there. -= services =-
flaming phantom Minmatar Tyrell Corp	Posted - 2007.01.10 03:43:00 - [18] yellowstone is a major tourist attraction. its in northwest wyoming, so ide say right about the mid-west if the US if you want it that way. i liive really slose by and its really amazing except to me becasue ive seen it so much. i dont nkwo if you have this stuff in egland so im not saying ur stupid, just dont know if you know what im saying or not. there are heysers which are fountains of water that boil and then they shoot up hundreds of feet in the iar for about a minute or so. there are waterfalls, nice mountains, incredible wildlife, grand forests. if your more of an outdors type this is what i'de recomend. you can hike, climb, fish, bike, and lots other things out here in a nice outdoor and small town environment. just try these search terms on google images and see if you like them or not. bison grand teton old faithfull (thats the biggest geyser) yellowstone i have no idea if those other locations are nice or not, ive never really been to a big city unless im passing through.

Beyond that, my two cents: Beaches: Floria keys, Miami, Los Angeles, Corpus Christi in Texas Women: I've found one thing out - in-breeding is not completely bad in the south, they produce some very fine southern belles in Texas and the south. They're socially conservative but very beautiful and sweet; for hotter women, urban cities general = these kinds, especially near said beach areas. Places to see: Washington D.C. and NYC are the two big ones for people interested in culture and history, for a scenic place the western part of the country = win, Denver or Yellowstone national park might be good if you're doing it in the summer. If you want sun and lots of it, try Phoenix, Arizona in the winter as its about 5 centigrade or higher and rarely snows. Chicago is also quite kickass alongside Dallas and Boston. Beer: Chicago, Milwaukee, and the East Coast imo. Lots of good beer, lots of good place to drink said beer. Best choice of all the options? Try Florida, it has warmth, good women, tourist attractions if you want them, and Miami's not bad for a city. Just realize that wherever you go, flaunt your British-ness; our women love it, just play the "excuse me I'm lost where's the (insert thing here)?" and commence the picking up. Just save some for us Yanks.

What I did was fly into Boston, stayed there a bit, then caught the train to Chicago via NYC, stayed there a bit, then caught a GreyHound to Iowa City to attend a friends wedding, before catching a train again all the way from Iowa to SF. The views from the train were fantastic (and despite the ride being 2300 miles, it was only 8 hours late, which I was amazed at). I was there for a bit over 3 weeks in total and would love to do it again. Travelling by myself, making friends was easier than I thought it would be and I found the people exceedingly friendly and helpful. My only regret is my camera broke on day 2. I find it hard to pick a favourite. I think if I were to live in any of the previously mentioned, it'd probably be Boston.

dennyreborn	Posted - 2007.01.10 17:11:00 - [26] you want chicks? well i need to know how old you are. if your under 30 (under 35 if your in good shape) and you are coming during early to mid spring find get a hotel on of the spring break beaches. Id recommend South Padre Island Texas. pretty much if you have your own hotel room(expect to pay though the nose though) you can bang a different college girl every night.though the party scene gets old fast. But any of the famous spring break beaches will do. and many of the not so famous ones. then there is Austin. It is likely the best Kept secret in the US. 200 little bars/cafes/restaurants that bring in hundreds of independent bands/groups etc. I can honestly say having been to LA, DC, New York, and Atlanta that Austin is likely the best spot in the country for independent music. Just make sure University of Texas at Austin is in session or the girls will be lacking. last id say hit up the Grand Canyon or Yellow Stone National park after all the parting you will likely need a rest and by now maybe you met some girl willing to take a week off school to go camping with you.

Ausitn is good, but wait until classes start at the University. I'd also wait for the South by Southwest festival. Los Angeles, New York, Washington DC, and Miami are the clear choices for tourist cities. Washington and New York are great for Museums and history stuff, LA and Miami are good for partys. There's also a Disney theme park in both California and Florida. I hear a lot of people like the Grand Canyon in Arizona, but I never saw the big draw to looking at a hole in the ground. My overall recommendation though is Las Vegas. No matter what you like or want you can probably find it in Las Vegas. ----- Traditional morality is just a clever way for the weak masses to shackle the strong individual. -- Callicles

They give the tar and jellyfish report in the morning with the weather. I would for sure go down to Key West. Now granted there is some freaky stuff down there and you are a complete homophobe you'll want to stay away from one end of duval street. However its a great place to go. Not too big, not too small. No open container law (key to any party town). And I think it would give you the biggest contrast from London. If you can't pick up a chick in key west .. you suck.

I am from Maine and it is believed that when the plates were all together that Maine was a part of England so... avoid the Northeast. Try something radical like Arizona desert around the Phoenix area. If you want warm and tropical I suggest southern Florida (which is where I live now). Now NJ isn't great to look at, but it has some parts that are pretty nice to be in. Although I wouldn't waste a vacation on it. If you want a real interesting and unique experience, then I would say go to New York City. Alot to see and alot to do, it really is the greatest city in the world. ----

The deserts of Nevada, New Mexico, Arizona, and Texas are really something different for Europeans. Visit places likes Carlsbad Cavern, White Sands, Las Vegas, Phoenix, or Austin. Rent a motorhome and travel without a plan through the deserts. When you are more into beaches, go to Florida, west-coast or the keys. Avoid California (the Pacific is cold!, and the flight to that place is long), and the east cost of Florida (to much tourism commerce). A secret is south Louisiana. Vegas is an experience like nothing else even if you dont gamble, you can also get things like 4x4 tours to the Grand Canyon and trips to Hoover Dam. Cape Canaveral Florida is another good place if you are into the space thing as that is where NASA is(sorry they dont offer a shuttle to the ISS). if you like War history there is no shortage of that stuff here, new england has tons of old stuff(can even see the oldest commissioned warship afloat in the world in Boston the USS Constitution). hmm so no real shortage of adventure here, i would however highly suggest seeing, The Empire State Building, Hoover Dam, The Grand Canyon and NASA(sadly no launches set for a few months as i hear that is extremely impressive to see).
