I have been looking to go into interceptors and was thinking that rockets would be good.
People I know who have been here forever, seem to think rockets are almost useless.
Does anyone use rockets with good effects?

Rocket Crow = Win
2 real versions that i like.
High 3x Rocket2 / Blaster Med - MWD / Web / Scram Low - SAR / 200mm Tungston Plate / Aux Power
Or the hardcore version.
High 3x Rocket2 / Blaster Med - MWD / Web / Scram Low - 400mm Tungston Plate / 2x Aux Power
400mm plate version will win basically any cepter duel, downside is that your slow, so if you miss your web chance, your toast.
Plates are all well and good, but i prefer speed setups, myself. weeeeeeeeeeee ----------------------------------- "Uggs386 > omfg i like little boys"

Like he said. Rocket launchers II go on alot of ceptors. Crow uses 3 and have bonus, raptor, stiletto and claw uses 1, ares uses 2 and have bonus and finally malediction uses 1 and have bonus. :)

The problem with rockets (and now HAMs) is that they work best on fast, close range ships...which tend to be Minmatar, the aforementioned problem is that fast close range ships are easy as PIE to kill if you have a decent fit (BS perspective that is).

I was looking into what has been said here with the Crow.
However, I noted that the long range rockets cause a -30 to ship speed. They will fly over 20Km though.
The high damage ones though, cut down on the cap.
What's the best way to compensate for the penalties of the T2 rockets?

I think the trick is not to use T2 rockets, as the consensus is that they suck. Although one could conceivably use the long range ones if they had the mods and implants to fly at extreme speeds so that the penalty incurred by using the rockets would effectively be compensated... but I'd say it's not worth it. --- High quality pics of ALL EVE ships!

Don't use them tbh. However, set up a rocket kestral with Javelin rockets, mwhaha, 20km sphere of dead interceptors -----

I keep hearing about dueling interceptors, but what about tackleing?
Say you're in an interceptor, trying to warp scram a BC/BS. You're moving too fast for the enemy to use it's larger guns on you, so it launches drones. Would rockets be a good defense for an interceptor against drones?

Well, only light drones can catch up to a half-decent inty really. And light drones don't have a lot of HP.

P.S. If you insist on fly roket crows, fit a nos and not a blaster. And BTW t2 rockets are good now they un-nerfed high damage.
