My tale is that after work today when i got home I decided to do some mission grinding to get standings up for research agents with Core Complexion Inc. I did a few one part missions np then got portal to war. Did part 1 of 5 np and was doind 2 of 5 np when i got a supprise visit from two old friends whom I havent seen in about a year. We decided to go and have a beer together at "the char" a lookout over the beaches of sydney that we carved from sandstone together when we were in high school some years ago. After ariving home from this relaxing drink with my mates feeling happy I returned to finish Portal to war 2 of 5. I cleaned out the first (fourth) room with caldari npc's and warped into the amarr section. Imediatly i was overwhelemd with scramming frigs and insta popped by a swarm of bs's and support. All i have to say to this is get real ccp. No one finds getting ganked fun especialy when it is by npc's. Pepople have lives to live and get interupted when doing missions at times. I have compleated this mission before and found it np but i am sure that even in a well tanked bs i would have probbly died in that last room as it was when i arrived. I have NP with a challenging mission but the way this one works is just stupid. /Tassill

Thira Rans	Posted - 2007.01.10 12:18:00 - [4] Com one, you have to READ what the agent tells you! He says you have to HURRY because REINFORCMENTS will arrive which you will NOT BE ABLE TO HANDLE! So if you are going to do missions for grind inform yourself! Check mission database for dps, fit hardeners, cancel missions which have too much dps for your setup. Search the forum for the mission name and see what to do. Then you will have afk mission grinding and no fun, but please don't complain when you expect an easy job and didn't get it!
AussieCrew Wallet	Posted - 2007.01.10 12:26:00 - [5] I am not complaining because this mission is hard.. lets be honest its a piece of cake and i knew exactly what i was doing. I am complaining because the mission story line is something a two year old would think up. The so called time limit does nothing to make this misison difficult all it does is cause trouble if you get interupted in the middle of the mission. Perhaps next time i will tell my friends to F**k off because i have to finish a mission before the timmer means i cant do it... is that what ccp thinks i should do?

All this "you can't change your buy order for the next 4mins".... And for me RL always hase the priority over EVE....

Today GF wins and its an EVE free day >:( few days ago i missed a cruiser tourney :( rejected some choice missions, lost some isk, lost some great deals etc etc. all you lost was a hurricane and a little self pride. Forum whine aint helping you. TBH you made a better choice Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm Beer

If you knew that there would be re-inforcements then why bother trying to complete the mission there and then? Why not just wait till after DT the following day and blow off the bonus reward like any sensible person would have done?

The time limit is part of the challenge. Can you wipe all those ships and get to the drop in enough time before the reinforcements come. So you thought you could handle the reinforcements, you ended up paying for the decision. Though to tell the truth, even though at the time I ran these I was 4-6 months into the game, I've never triggered the reinforcements. I only tanked it (briefly) for a friend who needed to collect the can after he ran out in time dealing with room 2.
