Hello,
I'm here to announce the creation of the Eve-Online Myspace Station (no affliation with CCP, just a fansite/newsite).
The Eve-Online Myspace Station is to help promote knowledge of Eve around the myspace community, encourage new players to join us, and help with getting news regarding Eve to players that have a myspace profile.
So if you have a myspace profile, hop on over toThe Eve-Online Myspace Station and sign up, leave comments, help out, etc.
**also we are looking for help with appending some RSS news feeds if possible to the site we've created, and also looking for some alternatives to blogging on this myspace page. Currently we are unable to show blogs on the site due to using a DIV overlay. We are welcoming suggestions/help.

Also, as a note: I hate myspace  . I finally gave in to the "beast" after nearly 2 years of many college friends bugging me to stay in touch with them.
No matter how many times you say "You don't need myspace, that's what email/IM's/Cell Phones/etc. are for", they still don't listen. So I gave in.
The fact is there are many many people on myspace. So I used some div overlays and made a decent looking page (not that crap that is normal myspace fluff). I figure there are many gamers, like me, on myspace that have not yet heard of Eve-Online.
So I've gone ahead and created a place where they may stumble on to, due to having one of their friend's friend's friend's having the Myspace station in their friends list. Also word of mouth helps.
I hope my contribution with this site will be to draw even more players to a game I love, in hopes of it continuing to grow and set records.

Also, I am looking for help on this site as far as:
-getting an RSS feed of Eve-news onto the myspace site within one of my div boxes.
-getting the myspace blogs to appear in one of my div boxes (essentially recalling the box that is hidden).
And looking for other ideas to help make this site better (aside from it NOT being on myspace.... )

there's no obvious link to eve-online.com on your page. you should have one in the "what is eve-online?" bit. nice layout though. (except the comments bit which is wonky)

I'm afraid not. I'm sure you say this for at least 2 reasons:
1. you don't want the game to become overcrowded. I feel it won't since they can just keep expanding space, but even more importantly there is still more than enough room.
2. The myspace community as a whole isn't the brightest group around. I would sometimes have to agree, but I feel the majority of gamers on the myspace community have the intelligence required =).

 Reading these replies gives me a chuckle. I don't think myspace is evil. I feel that there are some sexual predators that take advantage of it (but I'm not worried about my own safety as far as that goes), and I do feel that myspace's coding is HORRIBLE. It was such a pain to adjust the div overlays and is still a pain to try and get things to work right.
Although it's "evil-ness" is attributed to it's lack of professional programming, it's continuous errors, and other nasty bad stuff that comes with social networking; Myspace has something that can continue to bring others to eve.... and that is numbers.
I shall stay my course. I've plugged in the coordinates, and am manually warping to the destination chosen. (I refuse to use auto-pilot, for fear of the evil-ness and death).

The more awareness of eve-online = more subscribers = longer total life of the game = more $$$ for CCP to continue to enhance, fix, develop the game = more fun for all eve players.

There is no Add box, It is a link on the right hand side of the page. =) Eventually those links will become graphics, but for now they are text links.

By the way we have added new features to the Myspace station such as an RSS news feed froM CCP for Eve-Online News, and an RSS blog feed to show our blog now on our profile.
We have also added to videos of eve to the site, to encourage prospective players to consider playing (those videos are pretty cool).
Let us know if you would like to see a feature added that would benefit the community.

I've seen a few in-character profiles on myspace floating around. It is interesting to say the least... I'm sure many myspacer's are confused when they see "I'm from Yuzier IV in the Derelik Region" on their profile.
