yes boys and girls its offical...!!
i dont take part in exploits/bugs my self as i have been baned for doing it before, and learned my lesson, got baned for using energy drainers way back when... and dident even know it was an EXPLOIT !!! teaches me for not reading the news thingy and just loging in lol
at any rate its offical you can mwd your ships and fight with full sheilds and cap without penilty !!!
i know its been posted long ago but i figured it would be a banning offence as energy drainers was, so i dident touch it with a ten foot pole.
here is all you got to do toggle off your mwd in station and fly around all you like and you will have full sheilds and cap, fight normal with who ever you please. Have a fight with a person who is equal to your self with one friend and you can kill anyone, get a cheep scorp (which we all know they are) put on your 4 multi specs a warp scrambler 2x and a large clarity, and engage in a fight with a apoc, ofcorse the scorp has more sheild (skill dependent) but on the most part scorps have better sheild.
fight away and use up the apocs cap just keep your self alive, and when he is loosing his cap and you are two and getting close to half sheilds (like would be the case if your mwd was installed properly) engage your mwd and orbit the apoc at 500m (or any ship for that matter) and warp scramble it and call in your firend to shoot it up.
its unbeatable the ship cant shoot you at 500m and is out of cap and cant defend against the friend of yours (let alone the fact that you have now target jamed him), he is dead. god forbid if you mulitply this to a group of people and lag out the person you are trying to kill lol.. CTD heaven!!!! :)
may not seem fair but it is GM approved.
if you dont see how this is an advantage for caldri ships ...ahh you never flowen one lol.
and for thoes of you on the reciving end of this you better take part in this exploit or you will die (or banned who knows lol), when you engage your mwd it takes like 5 mins for your sheild to drop to the half way point it should be not instant SLOWELY.
un bleaviable well beleive it or not lol
so equip up your ships boys and girls so you can run, or pk up to you.
and if you get baned mail me in game i got the mail from the gm's who said this is legal

I am being a bit sarcastic cuz i find this compleatly unbelivable, to the point i was laughting at the GM's reply to me.
but on a serious note you must do this to your ship or any pirate can kill you.
No one and i mean no one can beat a fully sheilded / mwd / scramble / target jam ship.
the only defence we had against caldri's ew was distance but now that has been taken away not to, better buy some new skills and a scorp lol.

if i am a newb for not looking for exploits/bugs so be it i play games to have fun not look for advantages over other people

I bring a 9mm and a krobar with me in a fist fight, dunno what the other psycho would do, he could bust out some kung-fu, just cap him in the head and that solves it without getting your arm ripped off.

where is the exploit?
MWD's take no cap or CPU when they are 'turned off'. Which is reasonable, and correct.
They take 25% cap and 50% shiled when they are turned on. Also correct.
You are supposed to be able to turn on offline mudules in space. Still correct.
When you activate your MWD, the penalties come into effect. Still correct.
everything is working as it is supposed to.
The fact that you don't like it does not make it an exploit, I'm afraid.
It's an old trick anyway, and you're right, there's not much you can do about it.
But 2 MWD's falls into the same category for me. Makes proper piracy no more than a page in eve's history.
Hopefully, both of these problems will be fixed (possibly both with the same change)

Before this turns into a spam fest, i would like to say this is an informative post for like minded people.
like the guy who got scamed for the 10mill shuttle.
its a warning and call people stupid but all business and goverment buildings put warnning cones on the ground saying this floor was just moped its slippery ...yes it just looks shinny but acually you will fall on your butt and can sue lol. Along with all the wornings posted on crosswalks construstion areas, sharp tools, ect ect ect ...... or maby its only an american thing?

Dude you werent 85km away, you and ur friend were like 30km from me when u were shooting me, the reason u died so far away from the station is
1. You activated a deactivated MWD and mwd away (even though webbed)
2. Your ship took a long time to die and the missiles bumped you up there.

Where's the sense in fitting a MWD for battle only to have it offline the whole time. You could use the extra mid slot for something else. Unless you plan to duke it out and then MWD away after the battle.. Dunno though.

look this thread is not for you its for the general public as a general warning that mwds are usable in the game without penilty untill you engage it which should not be possable unless docked.

It's a bug, and in my opinion kinda a dirty trick. Exploit? I dunno....
If you have 5000/5000 shields and turn on your MWD you should instantly get 2500/2500. But this bug makes it so you have 5000/2500. and it slowly drains from there. so if you only use the MWD in short bursts, you can use it with almost no penalty.
Am I correct in this description?

Ok Grikl (nice car btw) lets look at the facts:
Firstly the exploit as you call it, is not an exploit, because the devs and gms dont call it one and its just the way mwds work, uve done it, infact everyone that has fitted a mwd in space has done it. Its just how mwds work atm, its changed on chaos btw.
Anyway now let us look at the other facts. At the time you lost your imperial apoc, there were 3 others of your ships there... Firstly we killed a mass normal apocalypse, then we noticed you and I mwd'ed over to u and jammed u up good. Then 8 of us shot the snot out of you. So, even if we did have this non-existant super duper, shield exploit-o-rama... which we err dont... Then wtf good would it of done you? Also look at the screenshots, notice my shields on the gang window and vegetas (or was it gunni, i tihnk it mighta been gunni) we both took poundings before your guys died or ran off. Anyway yeah back to my point, even if we DID have this sploit, wouldnt of made a difference at all, cos you had 4 ships vs like 8 by the time our full force warped in and one of your guys ran out on you.
Also I think you will be pleased to know that all the pictures of your nice car and house you sent me and all the times you told me that you were much richer in rl than me have humbled me greatly and I am now feeling very very bad :(
Anyway just try the so called exploit about having full shields and u may notice something interesting OMGS YOU DONT HAVE FULL SHIELDS THEY DRAIN AWAY YOU STUPID IDIOTIC SACK OF PUSS, DO YOU EVEN KNOW WHAT YOUR TALKING ABOUT?? NO YOU DON'T K?

and like i said this post is to tell the general public who have been under the impression that if you put on a mwd you get the penelity of it ... exploit/bug/the way it should be is all besid the point
its to inform us people who dont look for these type of things and play the game for fun.

you don't deserve more of an answer than that, but in the interest of the readers your BS may be confusing (and i ain't referring to the apoc!):
Not only can you fit modules 'offline' and turn them on later, a planned FEATURE is the ability to swap entire refits out on the fly, whilst in space. omg omg! to coin a phrase oft used against us, "this is the way it was meant to be all along."
Secondly, 'fighting with the MWD turned off and full shields.' You speak as if this is some uber godly fitting from heck, when in fact, it reduces available midslots by one for the person who decides to keep the MWD "in reserve!" Tactical advantage over brute force.
And finally, you quite obviously should have never had an Imperial Apoc wasted on you in the first place. Be glad you had it for any amount of time. Makes me sick to see PIE vainly trying to play the part of the royal guards while muppets like you get the goodies.
But please, scream exploit some more and compare yourself to the poor sap who bought a shuttle clearly listed for 10,000,000 ISK. Really helps your case lots .
I've seen plenty of those shuttles for sale. But thanks to my Int stats, i was saved from being forced to click on "buy..."
and then the quantity...
and then the confirmation...
maybe even with the out-of-market-range warning...

Your first post in this thread does indeed have its points.
BUT, you made it very shortly after loosing a 750 million ship.
And now you say that you didnt know of this MWD usage, I think that is buttsh1t.
I think I read somewere that Dalman said you didnt have any weapons and vegeta said they picked up Extruded, tachyons, MWD and other modules from your loot.
I think this is just a weak attemt to have CCP give you your UBER RARE Apoc again so you resort to the word EXPLOIT.
If you really intended to make this post to inform this usage of MWD to peaple you should have asked a friend to post it or even post it with an alt.
As it stands now is that you come out as a sore looser wether you are that or not.
I am not flaming you in any but you hAVE TO ADMIT that your timing is strange.

no my timming is not strange it comes after two days of arguing this tipoc with GM's
i felt i was right that if you have a mwd fitted at THIS stagen in the game you should be penlized, well the general public of eve disagrees so be it.
so now i inform the general publick of this advantage and if you think everyone in eve knows this you are more of a nerd than i thought, lots of us spend time on other hobbies not in chaos trying to find how to get the upper edge
