Edited by: Joeh on 02/12/2003 18:57:01 Edited by: Joeh on 02/12/2003 18:55:15 A couple of days ago I lost my ship while i was asleep in bed with the computer off. I had docked a few hours before, I woke up later in the night unable to sleep, came on to play eve and found myself in a escape pod.
Goodbye brand new cruiser and 1 million cargo.
Petitioned, was refused reimbursement. Technical support claimed that I probably allowed by cruiser to be destroyed by a serp on purpose.
This is just another in the line of endless bugs on EVE. My computers is a brand new 3ghz system, it runs everything else perfectly, yet eve keeps having problems. Everyone else I know seems to be sick of these endless bugs also. It's bad enough that they release a game that for the most part feels like an early beta, its far worse that they charge a subscription for it... but now they wont even work with gamers to solve problems caused by bugs and accuse the gamers of destroying ships they took weeks to save for on purpose.
The store I bought it from weren't half as rude as eve support, and have agreed to take the game back. As far as I am concerned Eve is unplayable.

As far as ANYONE knows what the tech support guy suggested happened might be true. If they reimbursed you just on your word, do you have any clue how many people would suddenly rush to try the same thing? ___winterblink/warp_drive_active/eve_nature_vraie// |

Edited by: Soule on 04/12/2003 11:41:46 Do you leave every game when u dont get your own way? It is frustrating I understand that.
As for Eve being unplayable, huh? There are bugs but I challenge anyone to name any game that isnt bug free especially this type of game. If you want a bug free game go play mononpoly.
I have been playing for 5 months and have not found eve to be unplayable, I have come across bugs but have always found work arounds or learnt to avoid them.

Winterblink, true, but all they would have to do to solve that is to get a decent log system so that they actually know what happens.
