a) What your favorite/most used ship to go pirating in ?
and
b)What's your favourite ship to find for klling i.e. you like seeing lone frigs at the gate or you more into a HAC or some other more challenging in the belts ?
oh and c) Would you rather blow up an easy target(newb/frigate ect) or have a gd ol' fight but die and lose a fair few million ? (if there where the only two choices).

a)Bellicose
b)Haulers carrying t2 bpo's. Failing that, battleships are my favorite, because there's nothing more rewarding than taking out a t2 fit battleship with 2 or 3 t1 frigs and cruisers, and this is MUCH harder versus HAC's-plus HAC's are almost never in the belts in lowsec.
c) kill the newbie. Losing battles can be fun, but if i have the chance to attack someone i know will fall easily and someone who probably will beat me, i will always go for the easy prey. Any ship with a pilot of any age can easily be carrying implants or bp's, or other quite valuable loot. My most profitable kill ever was when i killed a 1 day old's frigate who just happened to be carrying a full +3 set with multiple other hardwirings totalling nearly 200mill...while he was AFK at a gate.

I'll take on any hac barr Ishtar and vagabond in both, though I rarely find any :(

2) Haulers! MMmmmmm delicious zydrine...
3) Close, difficult fights are the most fun, although they make me think there's something wrong with my setup... Good fight or not, I'd rather not die

a)Plata Rax
b) BCs, give best ransom and are farily common
c)I would rather pop a newb and go on and find a better fight afterwards, good fights are fun but belive you me loosing a fight in a ship which will hurt your wallet substantialy is annoying n matter how good the fight

hehe some nice honest replys. Also so i've noticed quite a broad base of ships that you guys like in just a few posts 
I'm not a pirate yet but im deff' leaning that way as I like the PVP  and I couldn't give a **** about ingame currency(as long as it doesn't take to long to set up a newb frig ha!)
I'll be going low sec very soon, maybe tomorrow. I know im gonna get torched as I need alot of support skills, well everything but I read the other guys post about the HAC and thought maybe ill get lucky too with some determination

What frigs you thinking of flying? Race?
And don't worry mate, you will lose a frig or two to start with but with right teachers and helpers, its more about experience then sp in frigs I have learnt :P
I have crap support skills right now mate and I have a ratio of 16 - 1 kills in rifter... only 2 being frig and worse...

a) bellicose/hirricane/rupture/wolf
b) anything bc sized or smaller. pref with bpos in cargo and faction fitted.
c) not fussed. if im after a quick kill then a noob will do just fine.

Deimos, just love that baby but I have started to use the Myrimidon.

In general - the hardest pirates to kill using a T1 ship fly a Vexor. I imagine a Guardian Vexor would just really hurt you bad - if you could find one.
Once you get beyond one pirate, really it is what the team brings to the table that decides it. (All bets are off.)
Skills rule and T2 kills - if you got it.
I think having a good strategy and knowing the target is important. Most pirates don't research their target from my view. If they scan the contents - that is seen as wasting a slot.
The hardest pirate to kill is one who scans for victims with one ship and attacks with another. This is still kind of working with others in a way. Definitely having someone watching for others coming to the victims aid is important consideration when not picking on newbies or small corp members running trade missions.
Just a thought from the other side...
Pirates at Gate Camps who have a tackler and say - 3 Drakes to pump the victim with missiles are shall we say - very effective.
For those of you who will jump up and go I scan - I scan... I mean actually use a scanner to look at weapons and contents of the ship...

Good point - Captains with BRAINS are the worst enemy you can have anywhere. Skills are the next consideration. Proper fittings on a good ship only get you so far.

A) I would have to say the Arbi is my favorite ship. T2 drones, di 5 and a ship bonus to drone damage, plus turret disruption is sex. Although I've found myself shifting to more combat based ships recently, more fun then sitting back and letting the drones do their thing.
B) I try to kill anything that is silly enough to not jump out when I get into a belt.
C) I'd rather have a good ole fair fight, but those dont always pay the bills ya know

I fly Battleships the most only bc gate piracy can only be dont by a select few ships, but Hacs are great. I do have to say theres nothing like sitting next to 3 covetors in a cloaked pilgrim waiting for their their only protect to leave to haul.

a) Punisher for now, fitted dirt cheap.
b) Anything that goes boom and isn't a suicide mission, never know what it might have.
c) Good fights are nice and all, but hell, I'm no hero. That's not to say I only go for easy kills, just ones I think I have a chance against. I can afford to lose my ship but I'd rather not.

sabre,,.. + lots of ammo, currently doing 6.5 kps with no fancy implants :)
Will kill cruisers solo esp if u put a damge mod in the mix, Hits from 100m to 17k with t2 atuo cannons on lev 4 dictor,. so at that speed if u get in trouble with going in close u can still fight at range like a crow, can turn the tide of battle in bigger ops and offers great dps + has a nice buffer with extender on, what more can a solo pirate ask for ! (unless u like flying bigger stuff but I dont) .... yer + the whole dropping buble thing.
tis the daddy of all frigs.

b)Feroxes and Caracals. Even though the Pilgrim isn't suited to kill them - launchers are VERY valuable compared to turrets.
c) I'd rather win and get money.
