I was just turned onto this series about a month ago and I have bought the following
the complete series serenity the movie and Done The Impossible: The Fans' Tale of Firefly & Serenity
I REALLY want the series to come back to TV and another movie or 2 or 3 smile.gif
I cannot BELIEVE fox cancelled this show...
I also voted for firefly as the best show ever on http://richlabonte.net/tvvote/index.html
I have turned about 20 of my friends and family onto this series... lets keep the movement going!!
Thanks Tom

I'm the same.
Saw a bit of it once on Tv ages ago and never thought much of it (a bunch of crappy sci fi series had started).
Saw the trailer for the movie Serenity that looked good. Turned out I loved the film so I got the series out of curiosity and was suprised by how much I loved it.
Hope they make more.
I have the body of a supermodel. I just can't remember where I left it.

I watched the whole series over the course of a few days at Christmas and was pleasantly surprised (Buffy isn't my bag). Good characters, some great lines and also has some pretty dark subject matter in there too. (Oh, and Morena Baccarin is v.hot )
Much as I'd like to see more of it, I can't help but think maybe its good that they only made one series, and that we won't be forced to watch it descend into rubbish as it gets more popular and the TV companies dilute and sanitise it to appeal to a wider audience.

The solution is to watch Bebop

That was why Joss kept creative control so the network couldn't
The onlt place I would like to see it picked up would be SCI-FI or a channel like HBO where it could still be on the edge

Fox retains the rights to the TV series for a few more years. After that, it's possible we'd see it on a Universal network (like SCI-FI).

Yah, it's a great series.
My fave episode is "The Message"... not that anyone asked, or whatever. _______

The series got so-so ratings and the movie did pretty mediocre so I doubt anything more will come of it.
We'll just have to watch the reruns on Sci-Fi. ----- Traditional morality is just a clever way for the weak masses to shackle the strong individual. -- Callicles |

Not my favorite series by any means.
I will say, though, if I remember correctly, they showed episodes out of order and kept screwing with the time slot when it first came on the air. Sci-fi creators need to stay the hell away from the FOX network.

One of the more lamentable casualties of TV. I watched the film first, then downloaded the series. Loved every minute of it. Now it's gone

It looked very low budget to me made me think that FOX didnt entertain this being a serious show maybe filler content, but i loved it as i do most niche shows. ---------
I would love to see a bounty pilot get some friend or an alt to pod them to collect the isk if that resulted in a two week delay before their 'personality' was uploaded to a new clone. |

Firefly/serenity rocks, one of the best sci-fi shows ever imo. I picked up the tv boxset a few weeks ago, my favourite ep has to be the last one with the bounty hunter (cant remember the name off the top of my heard :) )
The show soooo deserved a complete first series and a second.. more than enough original material to cover 40 eps or so im sure

Apparently, my girlfriend says that the characters in that show remind her of us and our relationship, specifically Zoe and Wash.
I don't know whether that's a compliment to my sweet, endearing nature and good sense of humor, or a comment on how whipped I am. ___________

was fun... I loved Kaylee (Jewel Stuite) in it, she was loads of fun :)
It had good sense of humour, and was generally made more for a laugh than for example Babylon 5 or BSG.

It was kind of 'meh'... American smush, but decent smush.
But I hates them Fox all the same. They have a midas touch, only they turn everything to suck that they touch. ___

I never saw the series but I did watch the movie serenity... I didn't care for it at all. I get the feeling I am the only person with this view... it is really odd because I tend to like movies of this genre a lot but I thought the acting was second rate at best and the whole film just seemed like it wasn't going anywhere. You know how when you get that awful feeling after watching a made-for-tv SciFi channel movie? That is how I felt when I watched Serenity. I actually turned it off half way through and only finished it before I had to return it to the local video rental place. I am going to give the TV series a try though. -Steve

The problem with watching Serenity on its own, is that it was tieing up the series. If you've never seen Firefly before, you'll miss out on a lot of things in the film. -----------------------------------------------
