Ive always been good at scanning, it normally takes me three scans to get a sig to 100%.
I havent done it in a couple of months, but im back now. I undock my buzzard with all my scanning equipment like i used to, all my skills look good (ive got covops 5 too!), i do my first scan with 6*8au probes, i get a hit ~20%. I drop my probes to 4AU and center it on the hit, scan.... its gone. Hmm..
So i put my probes back to 8au and scan again, voila, right at the center!
So why wont it not work with 4au? |

Check your filters, the new expansion added the option to filter scan results by group (Radar, Mag, Grav etc.) but left all these options unchecked by default, so as soon as you hit 25% your signatures will disappear :) |

If you had a 'signatures' filter from before it still worked(even though that type isn't in filters anymore) until you got signal strong enough to see the type, at which point it get filtered out. Nothing to see here, usual CCP way of working |

I played all of 2 days last week, made about 500 mil in mods.
CLEARLY broked
