Anyone have an idea of which race is the most common to which is the least?
I'm sure no one has exact numbers other than CCP but do any veterans have an idea perhaps which race is MOST common and which is least and where the others fall in between?
Maybe even which SUB races are most to least common.

Yeah the last two are difficult, probably say amarr is the lest used but hard to say.

1) Caldari, because they are Eve on Easy Mode
2) Gallente, because Drones Ownes
3) Minmatar, because they perform very well in skilled hands
4) Amarr, because they are so versatile, they can skill for caldari, gallente or minmatar!

There are likely more Minmatar than Amarr because minmatar attributes are better. Before the new characters, "minmaxers" would either go Caldari or Minmatar.
Now, if you mean ships used it would likely go:
Caldari, Gallente, Minmatar, Amarr; though I wonder if Minmatar actually beats Gallente with regards to characters. Caldari are the overwhelming majority of pod pilots and ships though.

At the Fanfest (during a discussion of factional warfare) one of the devs said that 50% of the players were Caldari.

Caldari pretty much had (has?) the coolest sound description for a race in the character creation screen. That needed (needs?) a nerf :P

This imho is a huge truth. My first character was Caldari because of the description of being the best militarily.

My first character was Amarr however there was this 19 yr old Ohio State tard in the noob corp who wouldn't shut up. He basically was on all day and night and I don't think he really played the game but just came on to talk to three or four other idiots. They would discuss Atheism, the meaning of life, evolution blah blah. If anyone tried to talk or ask questions in the corp chat, he would scold them and tell them to go to the noob chat to talk because "they are trying to have a discussion."
I knew I wasn't joining a Player Corp anytime soon and I would be stuck with reading this moron's drivel so I rerolled Minmater. 
So there is the REAL reason that Amarr is least played.
