Has anyone noticed that engine and ambient sounds no longer get quieter when you zoom out from your ship? Or is my client just misbehaving? |

Yep noticed the same. Drove me to insanity until I went through the advanced sound options and turned off all the offending turret, impact, explosion, module, and engine sounds.
All I want are the shield, armour and hull alarms. The rest can get out! |

Noticing it with MANY sound effects. Completely ruins the previous sound dampening dependent on distance. :/

How dare these eargender audioists offend me with their high frequency waves moving through the surrounding medium! Why does no one think of the children who will be traumatized forever from being forced to constantly process input made up of waves ranging into the TENS OF THOUSANDS of hertz! This is unacceptable!
I identify as Sol-kin and I oppose all WiSgender because the white priviledged spacists just want to oppress me with their Avatariarchy. Once the carebears are eradicated, I will stand before them, screaming...
THE GAME ! (:

So it seems today's update partially fixed things, but I'm still noticing a problem. When I first undock, everything seems to work correctly... if I'm zoomed in on my ship, I can hear the engine sounds, and when I zoom out everything is blissfully quiet. However, as soon I jump through a stargate into a new system, the sound problem begins again... the engine sounds blast at full volume even when I'm completely zoomed out from my ship.
I've submitted a bug report, just wondering if anyone else noticed this or has a workaround suggestion. For now I've just disabled engine sounds entirely. Since the problem appears to only affect engine sounds, perhaps it has something to do with the new doppler effect? |

Yeah I got the same thing. Turret noises were so loud yesterday on autocannons. |

Sound effects like engines and weapons get quieter the further zoomed out you are - has been the case since quite literally day one of EVE online. |

Ive had 2 clients today that were misbehaving and produced sound issues.
But no problems at all with Eve.
Ill see myself out. Try the veal.
Since the cessation of their usefulness is imminent, may I appropriate your belongings?
