GI0VANNI	Posted - 2007.01.13 22:20:00 - [1] After working levle 4 agent in 0.0 i have been forced to move to safe space with the new game mechanics and scan probes, i.e. rattlesnakes and scan probes do not mix. I have not worked my way up2 a lvl 4 agent with the Caldari Navy and it turns out that i can only run missions streight after down time due to lag, and the fact been that it gets that bad that my launchers do not sometimes reload. Eve will start loosing its experienced players if lag remains this bad especially as they have made 0.0 living/mission running almost impossible. This is not just me. but i have spoken to a large number of players with 40 mill SP+ They have the cash, now sort the lag. Gio

HAL0	Posted - 2007.01.13 22:28:00 - [4] I can see that, eve does seem to pander to the new players while it disregards the old players, hear, fly capital ships, but you can do nothing in them. even crystal implants won't work with them. Here are the big ships but they are useless for anything but PvP!!!! Its ridiculous!!!

And that with warp to zero you're immune to scan probing unless you're very, very stupid?

Halkin Locus Solus	Posted - 2007.01.14 00:31:00 - [15] what does sp have to do with lag? its either there or it isnt. i've done missions on and off over the past 1.5 years and only ever had really bad lag just after RMR came out. right now and for the past year almost its been fine. looking at your info i'd say move away from caldari navy, spend 20 mins going through caldari faction member corps and pick out some decent lv4 q10-15 agents that not many people bother with. chances are local wont be like motsu. i've always used gallente agents and rather than go lag my ass off in dodixie with its 100+ ppl i run agents happily in 10-25 ppl in local systems with no probs. the problem is everyone piles into one system cause they want the extra 200 lp from the agent. good luck with that tbh Originally by: Hygelac "There's three sides to every story, your side, our side and the Truth!"

Second: Sure, it¦s easy to probe down mission hunters, I¦ve killed loads of them, but that¦s becuase most of them are not carefull enough. Almost everyone who¦ve played EVE for a while knows that nothing is totally safe, and there is a perfectly working scanner wich you can use to scan for, lets see.. scanning probes? Oh wait, there¦s local too. Now, the lag is either on your side, or you insist on hanging around Jita. Either way, it can be "fixed" with little to no trouble at all.

I don't really have the billions people think i should for playing almost since launch (stopped for awhile after beta), but I do missions right on the edge of 0.0 it is the very next hop even. I do my level 4 missions, I run around in alliance controlled space and have to hide if they find me. Lag isn't killing me, I haven't had 1 person jump me in a mission (but they're usually fighting eachother and don't mind little 'ol me) and i make extra money being a hermit in 0.0 (being amarr is great, not having the come back to rearm ever, unless I lose drones) with no real problems. Out of about 1 billion isk that i've earned in the past couple months, I still have over 700M. I would have more, but I keep buying the BPOs for the exploration probes cause that's alot of fun for me. Anyway, I'm not gonna say "most people do this" or "all 0.0/low sec is that" or even "ZOMG LAG" cause really, if you don't want it to be, it's not that big a deal. good game
