Edited by: Elite 07 on 14/01/2007 03:50:01 I'm having a wreckage issue.
I went out ratting today; killed the first group of rats, went to target/tractor/salvage the wreckage as I always do, and PROBLEM. When I have a wreckage selected, the usual interface on the top right doesn't appear. On top of that, the old 'right-clicking on the object for the interface options' didn't work either. This means I can't collect loot from wrecks, and therefore I can't salvage wrecks that have loot in them.
I can, however, still salvage wrecks that are empty by clicking on the module and manually targetting the wreck, once I'm in proximity. Does anyone else have this problem? No-one on help channel seemed to know anything and I've already tried clearing my cache.
Thanks in advance for any help.

Same here. "Selected item" actions doesnt refresh for wreck when you select. They remain for whatever you selected before selecting wreck. For example, select an astroid then select a wreck and click info, it shows astroids info. Very annoying

Edited by: elite11 on 14/01/2007 14:34:34 I found a way that worked for me. Instead of the usual deleting everything in the cache folder except for the settings folder and the preferences.ini file, I went ahead and deleted (or cut/paste to a backup folder) everything in the cache file, completely clearing it.
So, to be scientific, my exact procedure was to: first, delete everything in the cache except the two above mentioned items, running eve, finding it didn't work, waited for DT, ran eve again, still didn't work, get frustrated, cut/paste to backup folder entire cache folder, run eve again, cross fingers, do happy dance upon success.
Hope this helps someone.
Btw, when I did this, the color scheme finally changed to the Kali white/grey transparent color. Kind of bright, but refreshing new look.

aaah so the colors are as intended!!!
I just thought that my colors were screwed.
I deleted my entire cache folder 2 days ago on another issue, a trading gone wrong and the items disappeared, didnt fix that problem btw.
I'll have my mate try the cache to see if he can then touch them wreckies. Please resize image to a maximum of 400 x 120, not exceeding 24000 bytes, ta! If you would like further details please mail [email protected] - Deckard

OK this issue definetly need some glue added or if it's in another thread I haven't found it!
The complete deleting of the cahce works nistantaniously and now all wrecks are lootable and useable.
This is imo a solution that needs to be given to the masses. Please resize image to a maximum of 400 x 120, not exceeding 24000 bytes, ta! If you would like further details please mail [email protected] - Deckard

This solution by Eulalinda several days ago worked great for me...I went from not being able to right-click wrecks to full interactivity.
With minimal disruption to settings, just one file to delete (not whole cache!), and pretty simple:
Eulalinda's wreckage solution
Hope it works for your wrecks as it did for me. That tip was very very useful for my salvaging.
