Right now the only way to find out where an MJFG can be used it finding the patch notes where they were introduced, then visit the forum post, then go through all the text to find the passage saying they can be used anywhere except highsec.
Similar for cynos, there's no way ingame to figure out they don't work in highsec.
Similar, but not as bad, interdiction sphere launchers. With these you can look at the ammo and the ammo tells you that they are banned in empire space (in attributes tab).
I'm not sure right now if there are other similar modules aswell, but this would make it just so much easier to know what can be used where. |

It's called learning. You try it, then, when it doesn't work, you have learned that you can't use it there. Also, asking people who have already learned this is a way to learn this yourself.
The concept of not being spoon fed every little iota of information simply boggles the mind, right?
EvE is hard. It's harder if you're stupid.
I couldn't have said it better.

out of all the things in eve that are miss leading or poorly explained this is the one you want fixed?
Fuel block colors? Missiles for Caldari T3? Corp Stasis

The thing is - this is q good point - there are a lot of items/modules that can't be used in different places.
I was asked about Covert Jumb Bridges, As far as I remember, the only ships that can use those are the same ones that can use the covert cyno.
EVE does need to provide more education on a lot of different aspects of the game.
It could be something as simple as the border around the module - Red for Null, Yellow for Low, Green for High. Then players could be educated on what colors relate to which system type.

By the time you get to the point where you can pilot a Blops, you should know how to ask someone with experience how to use it. Actually, IIRC it's the ships that use the covert cloak that can jump a Blops.
