#1: How do I delete or remove all the Default Overview settings? I don't need them and they're in my way.
#2: How do I assign my own short cut keys to the overview settings I'd like to use on my d-scan? Currently they seem to be set for me, and I find that incredibly annoying.

There are some really good presets out there to save a lot of work. Every time I come back I install Oh Takashawa's SawaSharwa overview . Which can be googled, or in game open Oh Takashawa in people and places and click the link in his bio for instructions.
I just want to get a plex as fast as i can so i dont have to worry about resubbing, 15 dollars is Cat litter and Food for my cat, or 2 Grams of Weed, i'd rather spend it on that then on this game--Rogue Mime

1) Learn to make your own overview profiles, rather than depending on pre-made packs. Then you know exactly what your overview tabs do and do not show. I made a guide a while back. The UI has changed since then but the principles are the same.
2) All the shortcut bindings are available in the escape menu. You can rebind them to whatever you want.

Agreed.
I think it's best to learn what it is and how to do it before you download someone's pack. - That way you can make changes based on situations you encounter (You will want to make changes!)
edit - there are indeed some good packs out there.
Eve University has both a how-to and a pack. Google them if you wish. |

When docked in station, hit the ESC key, there's a shortcuts/keymapping tab or some such. find what you want, select it, and choose a key combination for it.
For example, lots of us map ALT-O to open the overview - that's not set by default. |

I already know how to make my own settings, but thanks for great resources on how to set overview settings in general.
I still want to know how to delete or remove all the Default Overview settings. By "default" I mean those who come in the Default category when right clicking the tab in my overview. Is it at all possible?
I also wanted to know how to assign short cut keys to the overview settings on the Directional Scanner. Is it possible, or will they simple be auto-assigned to the default overview settings that I wish to delete? They come in short cuts from 1-0 only availbable when focus is on the d-scan. I want to change them because 1) I find the default settings annoying, 2) I like my own settings better, and 3) I'd like to change the d-scan short cuts myself. |

Oh I get you now , ehh I'd have to login and poke around but I'm not sure.
I know they're customisable which sort of does what you want 
Hmm I don't think there's a hotkey for switching between the profiles, as far as I'm aware you can only key the scan button (I'd be delighted to be wrong on that so if anyone knows otherwise prey tell )

You may have to do some file editing for this. This page may be useful. I think you will have to go poking around in those folders to find where the defaults are listed and see if there's an obvious way to change it.
Edit: The dscan shortcuts are all brand new, so if they aren't working properly with customized tabs that might be something to put in the feedback thread (which I can't seem to find atm but maybe you'll have better luck than me).
