Hi,
So being that Jita is a trade hub one would assume that I would go there to sell my wares (salvage items, ore, minerals ect.)
But the snag is the dangerous lag ofc, what i want to know is where are the other trade hubs(if any) and how did you get to know about them? (I found Jita through forums other than trade for abvious reasons).
So am I wrong is jita not the best place to go to sell my stuff quickly at a fair price ?

The advantages of Jita or any other trade hub is that you can normally find a buyer for what you have, and you can normally get rid of it quite quickly.
The disadvantages of such a hub is that it can often take many minutes of sitting in a traffic jam to get into and out of the system, in the same way you would expect if you went to your local city center to do a bit of shopping. The other main drawback is that because of the amount of people buying and selling, you will often get less for your item, but you get to sell it quicker.
The other main trade hubs around New Eden aren't quite as large as Jita, and are generally accepted as being Ourseleart in Gallente Space, and Rens in Minmater. Amarr isn't so highly populated and doesn't really have any systems that compare.

I find that the home systems of each race tend to be pretty active, market wise.

Ourselaert (Gallente space), Rens (Minmatar space) Amarr space has one too, but I don't remember which (perhaps it was Amarr)

Ive never found jita to be the cheapest in the region, but it is the place where you can outfit almost any ship fully in a single station for a decent price.

Minmatar space has a few hubs:
Rens, Hek and eram? These are quite lively places.. but no where near the amount of activity that Jita has!

Yes Amarr is the trade hub in Amarr space. Not as busy but far fewer people trying a high sec suicide gank too (and no lag).
Wives ? Girlfriends ? what are they , they fit in a high-slot or something ?
Your wallet = ISK Wives/girlfriends = raven with 8 nos that only works on your wallet.

You can get better prices in the other hubs, although volume isn't quite as high.

Just one jump away from Jita is Sobaseki. Different region, but almost as many people in the surrounding areas, so it's very active, and a natural nexus for many noobs/miners/mission runners, etc.
I'd bet it's more active than the other non-Jita hubs mentioned.

If you check pilots docked and currently active, and pilots in space on the map, Jita is always #1, and 9 times of 10, Rens is #2. Oursalert is a distant #3, and Amarr is just a blip compared to any of them. :)
You really want to see barren, try the Derelik region. I search for small pulse lasers yesterday, and there wasn't one. Not a single one, in the whole region, T1, named, or T2. Wow. And I'm there flying Ammatar Fleet missions to increase my standings, too. Heh, every so often I just load up a hauler with my modules & salvage, and fly up to Rens to put my goods on an active market.

Yes, quite often the less populated and a bit more removed systems are completely ignored by traders. Some of these are quite lucrative as trading hubs, however. Systems that are quite a few jumps removed from major trading locales, full of mission runners and miners, and near some low sec space are very good for selling stuff. Very often I can sell my items there at higher than market average and relatively quiclky, because people don't want to fly those 10-15 jumps to and from a major trading hub just to get something a bit cheaper, and because there is no competition there since everyone hauls their stuff to Jita, or Ours, or Rens

I will second Hek (Minmatar) as being a good tertiary trade hub and throw in Alenia, which is in Gallente space.
