As many of you know by now FLA has suffered some setbacks recently but we have completed our process of fixing many organizational problems, and removing dead weight and spys from the alliance. We have suffered some financial loss and pilots that was intended to demoralize us but has largely been recovered and have only served to increase our resolve.
In addition FLA will now be running NBSI through FLA controlled regions of Deklein and Pure Blind due to increasing casualties dealt by neutral forces.
Freelancer Alliance has resumed recruiting corporations in preparation for the coming northern war. Applications for residency will also be considered. For information make a post on our public forum. http://fla.killerspace.com/forum

Considering, from my personal experience, FLA already shot neutrals this statement is a little pointless.
It was some four months ago. Out of respect to a gang member whose alliance was(is currently?) blue to FLA we did not engage and destroy the raven pilot who just entered the system. You understand we had no desire to create an incident between FLA and IRON. Your pilot on the other hand decided to engage, and after a minute of being fired on without firing back, we got annoyed and left. Add to the fact that it wasn't even FLA space, but the space belonging to another alliance entirely, the FLA pilot wasn't even engaged in system defense.
I understand the reasoning behind an NBSI. It's a defensive posture, not an excuse to engage targets willy-nilly outside your territory.

Edited by: LC Sulla on 15/01/2007 15:45:03 One of the problems that happened with the FLA after the IRON/FLA/NFC war was a virtually unrestricted growth policy. Not enough care was taken to find out about who was joining and this caused some concerns with our northern allies. This is why we froze new recruitment.
And always remember. I'd rather fly with skilled 10 pilots that I knew I could count on than 100 I didn't entirely trust. Numbers are not everything. Quality over quantity any day.
But if due care is taken then good luck with it all. I still have a place in my heart for the FLA. I'm sure your troubled times are nearly over.

Ahh... well maybe because our new management flushing your spy aided things a bit?
Corp theft is one thing. Alliance theft affects the game. There's a safety in place for that now, and a very careful screening process. In all of the interviews I have done, I have yet to hear of any single alliance to receive so high a concentration of spies and stab-in-the back maneuvers as FLA. Are people afraid Tranquility will turn "goodie" because of us? Well, GOOD; we treasure honor, might for right, and making loads of isk.
If you'd like to take the easy path to piracy, stay clear. If you'd like to go where no EVE man or woman has gone before and totally succeeded, a REAL challenge, come join us in our camelot-type way of gameplay. This game encourages pirates, so we NEVER have a lack of targets
I can't go into detail, but we believe every member has a voice and is treasured as a person, not a number. We also value ALL of our friends in The North. You attack them, you attack US. Careful!
Best wishes to the challenge! Who's up for it? Who's got the guts and honor?

FLA is not what it once was, and Im not sure I like the "leaner, meaner" version too much. Residents only bring one thing, and that is an extra juicy number of targets for those of us who enjoy hunting up there. From those that I have fought, it appears *some* of the new corps have definately complemented your PVP force, however, you still have a long way to go before you will ever be able to defend your space cohesively. Blobbing 60 vs 8 will work whilst there is only a gank squad of 8 threatening your territory, but it's not going to work once the numbers are more fair. Pick the corps that you are inviting into your space well, because the only props your enemies give you are because you offer a "fight", which is normally a fairly easy one, and therefore enjoyable for us as we get lots of killmails.
Dont let your ego's and your "successes" get in the way, you still have a long way to go, and a lot to prove.

Thats the great thing about D00M, we dont need space, we dont want space, and we have fun doing what we do. Good to see FLA have better relations with D2 now though, possibly the only plus to come out of the recent leadership change. I personally was very sad to hear that Dragon etc had stepped down.
Oh, and as for defending space, been there, done that, FLA are no better at it then they were a few months ago

Edited by: Paltar on 16/01/2007 13:41:05 I'd like to wish FLA the best of luck with their recruitment.
It was a fun place to be for a long time. EvE changes, every day - politics, people, everything cumliates in a constantly shifting enviromnent.
Just the fact that the same people can't be in the right place 100% of the time allows new people to prove their worth and skills though opportunity.
Its just the way it is. FLA is not the same alliance it was 12 months ago, some view this as a good thing, some not.... Its irrelevent its just EvE.
I spent alot of time defending FLA, fighting for FLA, talking for FLA and pouring my soul into FLA.... from its lashing in the NFC wars right through to some of its more recent growing pains.
The FLA ideal blend of Diplomacy, Democracy and Honour is a very difficult ideal to enforce and uphold within EvE, and certainly some of the fun I had when working within FLA's leadership was forcing myself to place those values first instead of walking a more commonly taken road.
When I left it was my time to leave, same as xXAngelXx, DragonMorph and other great and active people in the alliance chose their time and resasons to move on.
The new wave of people will make their changes and run things their way, try new things and hopefully solve some of the problems that were unsolvable in the past.
Good luck in Deklien and Eternal Rising will see you in space no doubt!

Tell me about it, The other day I was having a party on board my ship with some rather friendly exotic dancers and suddenly some less savoury deklein residents got angry that I wouldn't share any of the 50 dancers with them. :( After much thought I placed bounties on every single member of this organisation. Now they seem to chase me along almost every belt I warp to (even on gates!)

Our policing actions have thus far been effective in keeping the Serpentis out of our space, maintaining the dream of a drug-free Deklein. Now is the time to take the fight to some of the most vicious pirates in the world and clear the Guristas from our turf.

Could a Gurista's Corporate rep please contact me about the prospect of Guristas Modules and/or Ships in return for assistance against the tyrannical Stitcher and his Genocidal hatred of the nice belt dwelling denizens of deklein who just happened to be mining there when hundreds of rampaging pod pilots leapt in and started shredding their ships and rifling through their posessions for fabled "dread loot".
